As the board sure has been quite for several days, now. Maybe the repo man took away all your planes, huh? :-)
Surely someone has something SC related to report.....................

I noticed that my wire struts to my floats have rusted a bit at the screws, so I am going to us some CorrosionX on them and see how it does for a bit. Good price on the stuff at WalMart.com area of Ebay. First heard of it on the RC Groups section for the Dynam PBY plane. Hoping to order one on payday to try out that plane for a bit. Had a real problem with a seller on Ebay for my ordered Turnigy balance charger I ordered. He sent it to the wrong address and then wanted to argue over me giving him a poor rating when it took well over a month before it was finally admitted by him that it was his fault and not mine. $37 bucks wasted with that seller and no product received. In all the hundreds of purchases from Ebay by me, this was a first. He claimed that the post office could not locate my address, even though the shipping info provided by me was totally correct. Still waiting to resolve my complaint over his services. He had a 100% satisfaction rating until this incident. Hope he resends the item, but I doubt he will.

Around here the weather is just to cold, to wet and snowy and icy to even attempt to fly.
If it does clear up the winds howl
and with health issues off and on
I have not even thought about it much.
It has been so bad, i have not even checked my batteries for months....they are all at store charge except those 1S batts for the Champ
I have yet to have any lose their charge while setting unused.
Between the weather and my health, i have just felt to bad to do much of anything
I do read through the forums and such, but not much to say , when there is nothing going on to talk about.( with me that is )
Watching TV, reading forums and an occasional video game has been my routine this winter.
And about your mishap with ebay seller, I hope you used paypal ? They can get your money returned pretty quick.....
I purchase very little from ebay....so many sellers there with negative reviews, I stray away from them as much as possible.
Some have great service and no issues many have poor service and countless issues.....strange how things work.

I'm still here, but nothing to report. Just parts gathering for the new build and hoping the wind drops.
The build looks like it will start soon. The weather looks diabolical.
But I check here daily.

Still here too! Your weather has been the same as ours so you know it's not been great. I did use some of that time in the shop and got the F-22 geared up. The Sun's finally out this week and the temps are more agreeable. We'll head to the camp later today for the weekend and get some batteries through the planes.

Forecast is actually reasonable this weekend - but I have a load of stuff to do. If I can make it to the field, I will, but I don't hold out much hope.

Man, was I ever surprised in the size box it came in and all the packing they did to enclose the spray bottle. :-)

Hiya all. I'm still here and like sham I check daily but it seems bad weather is global or more likely we all live in the Northern hemisphere. Winds over 20mph and up to 70mph for quite a while now, along with torrential rain and cold in my 'sticky out in the Atlantic' end of the UK. Today though is quiet, forecast is 10mph wind with 17mph gusts and wintry showers with max temperature of 6C.
With all the rain we've had the flying field will be muddy, add in wind chill effect and it'll feel like round about freezing so not for me. No respite in sight as yet which is frustrating, only had 2 days flying since Christmas. On the plus side I had a wood carving and whittling set for Christmas so I'm getting into that and doing quite well actually.
Nice to know you're all about and I'm not suffering alone. :-)

Had great, sunny, calm weather this morning but no joy. The Mrs. was not feeling well and we thought it best to be at home instead of 55 miles away.

Only a mild 67 degrees high today and just 34 degrees at present. Brrrrr.... :-) LOL! Headed out to spend my mad money on getting my dog's shots updated. No flying today, as too many catch up projects to get done. Rain on thursday, so we need the stuff down here and are thankful to get any we can at present. Have a good day and fly 'em if ya got 'em...

It has been too cold here also but one day last week it got up into the upper thirty, and after temps in the teens or in the twenty thirty felt good, so after work I went out the wind was low plus it wasn't snowing there was snow on the ground so I took the catalina it took off with ease on the snow and was graceful in the sky, I had a good time

I'm sitting here and learning about paint on foam with my catalina. I had some Behr paint matched for the gray at Home Depot and found it worked wonderfully well with a cheapo artist's brush I got at WalMart. Under $3 bucks for the paint and it is working great. The paint at Lowe's is Valspar and is thinner and does not coat as well with one coat.
The weather here is dreary and drizzly. We need the rain, but the temp and wind are not condusive to getting out to the fly field at the moment.

I went to the field yesterday but only got a single flight in before the rain came and I had to retreat back home.

I also did the color match at lowes & home depot, and I agree the behr is better, but the color match from both place was dead on and a sample size is less than some spray cans of paint. Oh and I have the blue and yellow cat, I can see it better on an overcast day
