Of course with the new radio it will make life a lot easier than it seems now for this build. Just the wait until late dec. thats killing me now. Futaba is still putting release dates out that seem to get farther away. Radio?? Have i missed something. Please tell I'm curious, and no doubt i will be envious by the end of your reply. ;D

Oh yeah...maybe I forgot to mention...I am crossing over for this plane. Well heck I will just grab the link for you instead of describing it. It is awesome! www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXRUB8&P=0It will do anything short of auto-pilot. Watch the short video in the link. Under the pic.

Well I decided not to use the weak and heavy zenoah engine with this one. I am selling it and buying a 3W-85xi instead. The zenoah is 7.6lbs and makes 5hp while the 3w-85xi is 5.02lbs and makes 9.2hp....WOW! No brainer. Kevin

Well I think I may opt out on that tx. I think I will use it's predisessor the 12fg 75mhz. I am not 100% sold on the 2.4 thing yet. Too new for me. I bought a 7C 2.4 this week and it arrived already so I will test with it instead. It was much cheaper than the 1200 bones for the other one.
The Edge is still the way it was a few months ago. We built about 10 other planes since buying it so now it is almost time to put it all together. I did some already but not much. Once all the stuff is on it will take up more room so I left it be for awhile. We need to get on it for a May maiden....maybe June. The snow sticks aroud here for a while. Usually about a 6-7 month winter for sure.

Well I put it back up on the bench again. Got most of the other planes built and waiting for a few parts here and there so off it goes again. I got the servo's all installed so far. Got the ailerons glued on. Elevator halves fit and working...servo's installed in both halves. Going to bolt the motor on next for a test fit. Then look into muffler options. Here are some pics. Here is an elevator half.

It is a 80cc and no dodge!..lol. I think you got the wrong impression from that silly tri star hanging in the backround of a lot of my pics. It was like that when I bought it...I gotta peel those stickers off it asap.....chevy guy here.

Have to realize..Kevin works like a good brewmaster...takes the time to do it right!! Sorry Kev..used to be used in a beer commercial up here..thought it fit!! " Those who like it...Like it a lot!" Can't wait for the maiden..although he did say spring if I recall. Hopefully before tourist season gets going! Those anglers get rangy!

Once again you are correct. A fine craft takes time and there is no real maiden date set in stone. When I feel I got it all set up right I will fly it. I am taking my time researching different parts of this beautiful mess of balsa and doing it my way. I am going to have the smoker hooked up for maiden I believe. I want it in there for initial balancing anyway so I can skip the extra balance issues down the road.
