Good for you Me? I've missed 4 perfect weekend days in the last 2 weeks due to other commitments. This weekend, I'm free. Guess what the forecast is? Can only laugh.

Flying was just a byproduct during this vacation. De-stressing and enjoying ourselves was paramount. Hardest decision I had to make was what time I was going to take a nap.

With horrible weather finally gone
Got to fly today.
Archer-SE5a-Yak and trial and error with the Wilga
Archer flew great as always Tied ribbons on the SE5a and had a blast Looked like a air show Coasted around nice and slow with the Yak-12
Then came the Wilga. Now i did not check CG on this plane ( big mistake ), as it was extremely tail heavy
I held it in my hand and seemed to not be that bad...( I was wrong ) On most models that would mean instant destruction What is that saying " tail heavy plane flies once ?"
They must have never flew a Wilga.
It took off and went straight nose up, like a 3 D plane in a hover.
I actually flew it around my field that way, nose pitched way up Letting off the throttle the nose would drop and it would just float Throttle up-nose up and away it would go again
Lowered the flaps and the plane actually got even slower and still nose pitched almost straight up
decided not to try and land it, so i just allowed it to float over into the tall grass
needless to say it needs the CG set and some weight on the nose I had to add stick on weights to the Yaks to fix that issue as well but the Yaks would not fly that way.
It was amazing-scary and really fun flying it around like that, as long as throttle was up it flew fine...lost altitude when let off throttle but it just floated so slow...more throttle and nose up around and around....I was shocked, but loved it.
Had a great evening flying, after two weeks of bad weather
Hope everyone else is flying as well. : )

Well no flying until today...well yesterday ( Sunday 10/11/2015 ) since it is 1:37 AM Monday 10/12/2015 now
Had some nice flights
Flew the Archer-Yak-SE5a- and the Wilga
had a nice time
Even crashed my Wilga, brushed some tree limbs , flying low and fast at the edge of my field just got to cocky and got to close to the tree's. Misjudged the distance.
Filmed some autumn color with the Yak. Tried filming on the SE5a, but it did not record and the Wilga vid was mounted upside down ( dumb me )
If i can get them downloaded on You tube I will try and post them here .
Over all had a Good time.

Flew on the 11th..and nothing since.
Beautiful out, but horrible winds.
temperatures have dropped as well , high expected today just in the Mid 40's, low tonight in the 20's
Have had 16-18 MPH winds and gusting 23-25 MPH this week, today is no different, not as bad but still to hard to fly.
Seems fall has fallen and soon winter will be upon us.....I have ski's...am going to try and do some winter flying this year ...maybe .

O btw here is a small vid of me flying a Wilga just buzzing the field also crash..... Got to close to the treeline...and after i took off again the rudder went full left just circled around, had to ditch it in the grass ( broke prop ) Key cam date /time is wrong I finally figured out how to change it Hopefully i will get to fly this week have a vibration, and a noise in the Wilga ( sounds like a real plane when flying) video is a little blurred because of the vibration Enjoy the Video, it was just having fun flight was filmed on 10/11/15 www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nhoR15tBmU

I haven't flown in weeks. Last time out, the 4 planes all got an outing. A couple of flights on Supercub, effortless as always and the Sportcub warming the thumbs up nicely.
The out came the new plane, the T28 by Dynam. What a handful, at anything above half throttle it ballooned alarmingly and became barely controllable. So, retracts and flaps down and in for a landing. Recheck the balance and sure enough its spot on. Try again and much the same, so half throttle it was - the plane flies very nicely when its tamed, and a little digging online shows that several owners of this plane recommend changing the thrust angle by adding a couple of washers under the top motor mount. I've done that and hopefully it will be better.
Not a bad maiden (its in one piece - it can't be bad!), but hoping the next flight will be better.
The Bonanza flew twice as well, uneventful - and I love, LOVE, to see that plane in the air.
The weather has been utterly shocking since then, but hope it changes soon - I've not lost my enthusiasm!
