Actually got to Fly twice today. A rare occasion , I finally got to fly in the middle of the day. It was hot and a slight breeze. winds gust on occasion but no Big deal Took the old EZ trainer off the ceiling and dusted it off.BUT on take off it veered hard left on trying to correct appeared the wing came up, about 8 feet up she dove in...Crash...broke prop-wing mount pulled away from foam, did not appear to be glued well or heat over time on the ceiling did it I do not know. Anyway needs some minor repairs ( but i do think the rudder servo stuck ) as it veered that way.) Next was the Yellow and Gray Yak 12 ( crashed last outing control surface issue [ going wrong direction] ) Today it flew great...ran Two batteries through it -wish i had charged more, but i was testing it It flies pretty fast, my other one has flaps to help slow it some this one does not, all and all it did Great had a blast with it..landing one was fast and long but landed well.....second one I came in low knowing it was going to be hot, but i brushed the tall grass before i got to the mowed section...made me bank to much, i landed on the wheels just nosed over afterwards still good anyway I also flew 2 Sport Cub S'....I have one for day time flying and one with LED's for night flying excellent plane they almost fly themselves they are so smooth. Day time is stock right now and Night Time has a Micromotor's Motor installed has more power and it is noticeable . all and all I had a GREAT Day and Night as well and to get to fly in the middle of the day is rare, and it was fun Guess this post ended my complaint Dept posts ( above ) for now..

The perfect time for two weeks away from work, isn't it. Mid August should mean a lot of flying.
But no. Not a chance. If its not raining, it's windy.
This year has just been horrible from a RC point of view.

Ghost, you mentioned lights on a Sportcub-S.... Where did you pick them up, how was the install? I got my LED's from SF Design Solutions www.sf-design-solutions.com/Told Glenn what i wanted and where i was going to mount them and length-wingspan and he made them perfectly They plug straight into the Board on the Sport Cub S....it is already set up for a FPV cam and has a wire already mounted inside...I unplugged it and the LED's plugged in it;s place. Runs off the flight battery. Very Bright and very light, and I just mounted mine with a little clear tape. The already made sets come RED-GREEN-WHITE-BLUE I asked to have RED-GREEN and 2 WHITES , I did not want no tail light ( Blue ) I mounted the RED on the left and the GREEN on the right wing tips I installed the 2 WHITE on either side of the fuselage on the wings leading edge Helps me orient the plane in the night sky that way It was the same style set up i had on my Champs. He takes orders for a certain time...they are surface mounted diodes...little flat things...they are very Bright Hope that helps

The perfect time for two weeks away from work, isn't it. Mid August should mean a lot of flying. But no. Not a chance. If its not raining, it's windy. This year has just been horrible from a RC point of view. I have had that issue for the past 2 years...these winds are very strange and hardly ever ease up Seems when it rains is when the winds die down...rain stops, wind starts. Use to be I could fly before dark and after dark even now ,in the night the winds have been blowing more than normal so even those moments have been few this year is worse than last year for sure.

Had a Great evening of flying again today ( finally ) 8-28-2015
Flew the Archer-one of my Yaks-the Pitts- and one of my Sport Cub S'
had a stall with the Archer trying to turn to slow buzzing the grass, did a little damage, but have already repaired it and is ready to go again ( lesson learned )
Spent time with the Sport Cub flying really high and then spiraling down using the aileron and rudder ( makes it spin pretty good ) had a Blast
The Yak flies really smooth and easy.
Next on my list is my SE5a and the Wilga, both are ready to go.
Have had a beautiful week, but has been extremely windy very cool temperatures ( fall like )...got warmer today, and still gusty but the Archer flew very well in those gusty winds as did the Yak Suppose to get hot and humid here this weekend ...hope the winds are not to bad so i can fly some more
I hope everyone else is getting some flying in
AND AGAIN today -8/29/2015 Had another great day

The weather isn't so awesome now, but it was first thing this morning.
Flew every battery I have. Supercub got 5 flights in, the Bonanza 2, the Sportcub 6 and the new bird - the Dynam T28 - 2.
The T28 flies nicely, nowhere near as sensitive as the Bonanza, and will be a plane I can fly a lot.
A really good few hours... For a change!

Good to hear it Sham. I have 9 days left at work, then two weeks vacation. We'll have 9 days at the camp which means flying everyday weather permitting.

I hope the weather is kinder to you than its been to me this summer. Very few flying days, I'm hoping autumn will have less wind.
I've found a couple more decent flying spots too, meaning I won't be disappointed when the weather is good and the field too busy.
Hope you get your 9 flying days.

Keeping my fingers crossed. My Bride has re-expressed her interest in getting her Supercub back in the air. So any flight time I can get with her will worth it.

Great to have a spouse that will fly with you
here has been beautiful and fall like temperatures...only issue is wind
I have been flying in more wind than normal lately, but the past few days have been pretty gusty
Sad thing is I look at my local airport for wind speed and direction....they said wind was 1-2 mph out of the SE
I am a little over 10 miles away from there and here where I am ( no way to measure other than leaves on trees -flags-ribbons-Me ) But wind a few times almost blew my hat off my head, tree's have been swaying in the wind, flag straight out and ribbons as well. I believe that is more than 1-2 MPH.....lol

9/29/2015
No flying last week winds were horrible , some days gusted over 30mph
weekend was the worse....Monday same thing and rain
Today winds finally eased, but far more rain
Tropical Storm , and possible Hurricane off the East Coast may send us more wind and more rain end of the week.Depends on which way it goes.
but no flying it appears for awhile longer.
