WOW! I'm so glad that my parsimonious (I learned that word from Fly) ways have paid off so well for my fellow forum members. So many people seem to have bought this camera after reading about it on this thread, and it seems to be working well for everyone. The memory card I used for mine is listed here supercubclub.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=cameras&action=display&thread=2576&page=1#17466 , the link still appears to be valid. Someone just contacted me through youtube asking me to email the camera software to them because they don't have a CD drive, and I've happily done so. I wanted to upload the files here in case anyone needs them, but there's a 1 meg limit. Instead, I'll just upload the manual and the tag file used to set the date and time on the camera. The software that comes with the camera is pretty crap anyway, and any software for using a webcam will do fine (I use Cyberlink YouCam which came on my computer). The only problem is I don't know if the camera will work without installing the software because it also installs the driver. The name of the excluded file is "SPCA1528_V2220_MultiLan_090217.exe", maybe you can figure out a way to download it from limewire or something savvy like that. Happy flying everyone! -Dill Attachments:

Thanks again John No worries mate :-) To set the date/time, you just edit the tag file in notepad to show the current date and time, then save the file to your memory card. You then turn the camera off and on, and it should update it's date and time and delete the tag.txt file. It's been a while since I done it, so I may not be recalling what I did exactly, but as I remember that's what I did and it worked for me first try.

Thanks George George, If you have a device (camera, card reader etc) that is supported by Win7 and can accept a MicroSD( or SDHC), then you will be able copy any in-flight footage you have to your PC by simply inserting the card into that device. Hope this helps....

To update on what the camera's flashing lights seem to mean when it's hooked up to the computer.
Red solid blue flashing = charging Red solid blue solid = battery full (or at least, too full to charge)
I'll be uploading my new videos in the "videos" section of the forum later today, I'm uploading them now. These videos are being uploaded in full quality, although as youtube converts them to flash there will probably still be a loss of quality.

I need some help with the camera and placement. I have tried insterting the cameras with the clip on the underside of the plane in the holes behind the battery box, after doing a few test videos to see how it's going, as soon as I start the motor the camera must be vibrating like crazy the video is blurry. How are you guys keeping the video from being blurry from the vibration of the plane? How and where do you mount yours? I was all excited to get this camera, but now I'm a little deflated now. Any help would be great.

I had exactly the same problem with my first videos. I ended up cutting out a hole in the fuselage for the camera, i've posted pictures in this thread, page 1 or 2.

Ok, I have a video of the supercub spy cam, after trying it forward, my placement had too much prop wash in the video so I turned the camera around until I could make a new hole and angle it better to escape the prop. Supercub rearview. : ) www.youtube.com/watch?v=ox_HPis8pTI

dill, what's the ebay seller for this camera? I'd love to buy one right now, but all the auctions have ended and been removed. Can you tell me the seller; I know they sell more of these. Or a link to an auctions would be awesome too. Thanks

killioughtta, I would recommend just buying the camera outright at the buy it now price, when i was bidding on them it was a total war and it ended up just for a camera being over 25$, but I bought the camera alone for 17.99 with free shipping, I then went and bought a 4gb microsdhc card from another vendor for 11.25, with free shipping, It only took a week for the camera to get to california all the way from china, and the memory card took only 2 days to california. I would do it that way IMO, I have everything for less than 30$, what a great deal. Here are the sellers I bought from.... cellularstream is the name of the seller i bought the 4gb microsdhc card for the camera, excellent price, free shipping comes with a adapter and took only 2 days myworld.ebay.com/welcometoauction2003/ is the seller i bought the camera from, came in a week from china, free shipping. Hope that helps
