Superb quality considering the price of the camera. Can the time & date stamp be removed?

Much better, not Wavy Davy anymore. You got some lines at the start of the 2nd when gaining altitude, I guess that's vibration from the motor at full chat. As my mate is being slow to supply me with a couple of bits to finish the TS, I may stick the camera on the cub if I get a chance to fly soon. I was thinking of using the "helmet" mounting bracket and holding it in place with the rubber bands (maybe add a couple omre to ensure it doesn't fall off!), so that its mounted on top of the wing. Saves me cutting holes and getting the prop in the shot.

Not sure if time and date can be removed.
You set the time and date by uploading a file to the camera called tag.txt
You edit the file to show the current date and time, upload it to the camera, then the camera updates the date and time then deletes the file.
Perhaps if you reset the camera, and didn't upload the tag.txt file at all it wouldn't show the date/time?
The way I have it mounted now seems to be PRETTY crash proof! ;D
Does Australia look like you all thought, or were you expecting to see lots of desert and kangaroos?

LOL, that looks familiar. It looks a lot like Central Australia around Alice Springs, I was working up there for almost a year. That was a LONG drive, god bless air-conditioning.

I've found a reference to removing date and time on a "Gum stick" spycam, which looks pretty similar. The instructions say: Do not show time : you make a text file with the date and time in the following format with the letter N (NO)
2009.01.01 12.01.01 N
to update the time replace the Letter N to Y .
save it as time.txt in the devices root directory and when you switch the device on again the time is set . Playing with mine, no success yet....

n1 nick. It looks quite well made inside, is that a Li-Po battery powering it?

n1 nick. It looks quite well made inside, is that a Li-Po battery powering it? I'd believe so, 230mAh. Reading some stuff on RCG about a keychain cam which seems the same. Some have had duff batteries, and I'm a little suspicious of the one in this. There are same size lipo available elsewhere if a swap is needed, others have fitted a servo plug to the power leads and run it from an external battery. I'm wondering whether (with the right lead) it could be connected up to a balance lead of a flight pack. It's not going to draw too much current so shouldn't un-balance the one cell that it's tied to excessively. Hours of recording and none of the USB "is it/isn't it fully charged" game.

I've found that if you use the charger that comes with it, you can see when it is fully charged. I told the seller that I wasn't too happy that he had marketed it to Australians and didn't include an AC adapter for the region. He ended up sending me out a travel adapter I could use with the charger.
The charger has a red and a green LED on it. When the green LED stops flickering, and displays a solid green light, the camera is charged.
A mobile phone battery would be another good replacement for it. I have a desktop charger and a bunch of spare batteries for my Nokia N95 so I might give one of them a go if I find I need more battery life.
