Well, gentleman, it appears I've mounted it with great success. Now it's just a matter of waiting for the wind to die down. I cut out a section just in front of the battery box for the camera to slot into with a soldering iron and a scalpel. By taking lots of test videos, adjusting the angle of the piece I cut out, and then adding some door seal tape to tweak the angles a bit, I got it pretty much PERFECT. I reinforced the inside of the recess (and permanently stuck down the door seal tape) with superglue. This makes the foam much more rigid and less likely to crumble over time. I taped around the hole with some cloth tape to reinforce that general area a bit. I also wrapped the bottom of the camera with some black electrical tape to make it a little thicker, and to protect it, just as well too. In my over anxiousness to try it out I put the camera in before the glue was completely dry, but I only got superglue on the tape, not the camera. The way I have it mounted, all the videos actually come out upside-down, but it's not difficult to flip them back around again using a free program called "virtual dub". The camera fits in there TIGHT, now it's actually difficult to get it in and out. The camera also has a hole in the back of it so you can tie it to something, so I can attack it to the X-port in case it does happen to fall out in flight. Here's the pics, and my test video. I'll be making a test flight as soon as the wind dies down, hopefully this evening.

Definitely worth a buy, im playing the waiting game now like Nick. :-) If postman Pat and his cronies weren't causing mayhem I reckon I'd have mine by now. I'm waiting on a mate to supply me with a couple of nylon bolts so I can finish the U/C mod on my TSII, the camera will be flown in this baby. I won't have the problems of a prop in the view and it tends to fly very smoothly so I hope the footage won't suffer the drawbacks that Dillz's initial tests have exhibited. How's the KD motor performing, still dragging the SC vertically into the clouds? ;D

HA HA HA! At least us Aussies can get cheap crap from Hong Kong within two weeks. I guess sometimes it pays to be on the arse-end of the earth! I took my new videos, quality is fantastic. Files are huge so I'll upload them a bit later on.

Dang - i didnt realise how small that camera actually is! Ive played around with a FlyCamOne on my SC, best footage for me was attached to a wing looking back at the cub, i have to counterbalance the other wing thou. Im looking forward to putting this little camera through its paces. Nice mod Dillzio.
I love the KD motor, im on the second one as the 1st ceased up! hehe.

Mine arrived this morning, currently charging it up. Initial test seems good although the instructions are pretty useless.
Dillz, when I'm charging it the red LED is on solid, the blue flashing slowly. Have you found out whether there is a state the LEDs go to when it's fully charged?

Been trying to figure that one out. When I first connected it, blue was solid and red blinked, which I thought meant it was charging. A day later they were both solid, but i'm not sure if that's because the battery's full or because now all the drivers are installed for it.
I've used it a few times since, and I haven't noticed it going back to the solid blue flashing red mode. I'll have to keep an eye on it and see if I can figure it out. If you've left it hooked up to a USB port overnight you can be pretty confident it's full.

Hmm. I've only given it an hour or so thus far. A couple of times after disconnecting, powering it off and then attempting to power it back on the blue LED just flashes and doesn't turn on. I'm not sure if thats because there isn't enough in the battery, or it's dodgy. If I don't power off after disconnecting it seems to record ok. I guess I'll have to leave it for a lot longer charging and then check if it still does the same. mine is now blue flashing with red solid? What does it all mean???

Don't worry too much about what the flashing lights mean, you'll get used to it. For now just use the thing, just make sure it stays connected to the usb port for a while after you download your videos to top the battery up and it should be fine. So far mine has worked without a glitch. I've tried out the sound activated recording mode and that that works a treat too. Also, by pressing mode while it's hooked up to the PC, you change it into webcam mode.
Without a LCD preview screen, it shouldn't use much current at all so the thing should be able to go ages off of one charge.

I think I have it pretty much sussed now.
I just tested mine by running it until the battery was dead, and it recorded for 1hour 40 minutes before the battery went flat, the memory card did not fill up. Charging is red light solid, blue flashing.
Perhaps it only starts charging the battery when it gets discharged to a certain level, in which case it can record for even longer off a full charge. After it gets a full charge into it I'll test it again.

Tested battery life again today, I got 1 hour 35 mins. The quoted 2 hours seems to be a bit of an exaggeration but it is from ebay, I think all specs on ebay are exaggerated by at least 50%. I'm not sure I'm game to take it apart, it might not go back together too easily It would be interesting to see the battery, and see if it can be upgraded. If I do have a peek inside i'll be sure to take some pics for you!

Thanks for the feedback Dillz. After leaving mine charging via USB for most of the day, it seems to be operating correctly (I get a solid blue when powering up) so I guess I was just being impatient. I haven't been able to do a test flight yet (winter coming in so it's dark when I get home) but hope to have a go this weekend. I've been very tempted to open it up to take a peek, but haven't yet. I probably will, I'll a muddler, I'm inquisitive

I'd rather have a look inside your camera than mine ;D
