Yup - ive watched all your videos too necubflyer, does using all that econokote add much weight to the cub? Good question... and the answer may surprise you! My stock Cub with Du-bro 2 1/2 wheels (no other mods) weighs 22 oz's with no battery. The new plane with EconoKote, Ailerons, Wheels and other mods mentioned in the vid, with no battery, weighs 24 oz's! Only 2 oz difference... Very impressive Now something very interesting is my stock Cub with stock battery (8.4V 1000mAh Ni-MH) weighs 27 oz's. New plane with Lipo battery (11.1V 3S1P 25C 1500 mAh) weighs 28 oz's! Now we're only talking 1 oz difference with a lot more power ;D

necubflyer I think your a legend here, I've been watching, and re-watching, your videos for about a month while I assemble all the materials to do it myself. A quick question, did you paint or cover your rudder? If paint, what paints did you use?

I have to say, his videos sold me on the Super Cub when I was trying to decide on a first plane to learn to fly with. Wonder if he ever browses the board anymore?

Hi Guys Im planning to order econokote from Tower Hobbies. My question is, will it be enough if I order only one 6' long econokote to cover my super cub? Im from the philippines so its a bit costly for the shipping and handling than the item, so im ordering in bulk. Thanks

Hi guys
Im almost done building my SC, covered the main wing and fuselage with econokote. Just one question, why is it not advisable to cover the rudder and elevator with econokote? Hope to hear from you guys soon before I maiden my SC. ;D

Hope to hear from you guys soon before I maiden my SC. ;D Mainly due to the fact that these are a different material than the rest of the airframe, it is unknown whether the heat required may damage/deform them.

I have read in a few places elsewhere that the three big holes at bottom of the fuselage should not be covered as they were there for a purpose - something to do with cooling, apparently.
But I notice that the planes here have them covered with Econokote . . .
So who is correct?
