Seeing adverse mention of 'grits' in this thread, I thought I would share this nugget of information gleaned from the internet:

"Folk wisdom contends that dry grits, scattered where ants will eat them, can be used to kill them by causing them to 'explode' as the grits expand inside them."

Lol, I used that trick to kill fire ants in North Carolina.....worked like a charm! . In other news, six inches of snow fell yesterday.....sigh.
