Spam is spam. Pour a bunch of words over it and spread it on some free but its still the same stuff underneath. Locktite Power Grab is what I've been trying out lately. Gorilla for the strongest hold. Excuse me, but how is offering free samples & requesting feedback on it spam? If you are not interested, then you don't need to do anything. Bashing a small US business looking to improve our hobby just isn't cool.

This guy created this thread and if he wants to talk about the glue that he sells then that's his perogative. I don't think it really counts as 'SPAM' unless he goes filling other threads with salespitches. I got to admit though, the phrase "pour a bunch of words over it and spread it on some free" did make me laugh!

this WHOLE WEBSIGHT is an advertisement for the hobbyzone super cub, so as long as they're not a nucience, a compact thread for glue is no big deal. P.S. there's a classified section...

Forum spam is the creating of messages that are advertisements or otherwise unwanted on Internet forums. It is generally done by automated spambots. Most forum spam consists of links to external sites, with the dual goals of increasing search engine visibility in highly competitive areas such as weight loss, pharmaceuticals, gambling, pornography, real estate or loans, and generating more traffic for these commercial websites. Some of these links contain code to track the spambot's identity if a sale goes through, when the spammer behind the spambot works on commission.
He is trying to sell "glue". A product directly related to our hobby. If he was trying to cell me car insurance then we would have a problem!! ;D
How would you react if someone came into the forum and offered 20 brand new 480 Brushless motors for FREE!!! I'd be on that bandwagon. ;D
As long as it's posted in the correct thread I don't mind.
Now, if we get lucky Castle Creations might offer 10 free 35 amp ESC's. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'll be first to put my hand up for one of the new clipped wing brushless cubs they're bringing out. Who better than a super cub club member to review the new super cub? Honestly, the marketing department up at Hobbyzone need to get their act together!

You are spot on. I'd also add that the membership on here (with some exceptions) are inexperienced fliers so wouldn't be capable of a very factual review of it other than as a comparison against one other of their products. If HZ were after a review, they probably would want to influence a wider community than those who have only recently started flying, They'd have to use members from wider forum such as RCUniverse or RCGroups that have tens of thousands of subscribers, many who have been flown multitudes of models over many years. The nearest to those flying credentials (that still check in here) on here are probably SCC, Flydiver and MrMugen.

I can give an in depth review on how crash-proof it is, how easy it is to repair, and how it's profile looks as it disappears over the horizon.

Who we really need to get behind us is hobbyzone!......Honestly, the marketing department up at Hobbyzone need to get their act together! You are more correct in this statement than you probably realize. Are you aware that they refuse to sell to online only merchants? Then; when the online merchants outsell them with asian brands such as art-tech, they post an 'interview' in the 'Model Retailer' industry magazine complaining about the 'gray market' hurting our industry. Um... 1. It's their own fault, online retailers would love to carry their product, but they are cutting off their nose to spite their face. 2. Quality asian imports at reasonable prices are not hurting our industry. In fact, ALL of the horizon products (hobbyzone, parkzone, e-flite, spektrum, JR, HPI, Losi, Hanger 9, Blade, etc. etc.) are ALL manufactured in China. 3. Their own website sells some of these 'inferior asian brands'... (align, gws, megatech etc.) They can't have their cake & eat it too. 4. They participate in price fixing. That is why the products are the same price no matter where you go. There is no free-market for horizon product. Anyone that sells below the MAP (Minimum Retail Price) is cut off from being able to purchase products. Everything about this company is stuck in the past. They need to wake up & get with the times. I sell their stuff because it's in demand, but it's no longer the end-all be-all, there are plenty of other products of similar quality for significantly less money. They also make it difficult for dealers to sell their products. On more than one occasion they have dropped the MAP price on items, and existing inventory needs to be sold BELOW COST. That's just not good business. Sorry; time to get off my soap-box, but I'm really hoping they get their act together.Bill

I'd also add that the membership on here (with some exceptions) are inexperienced fliers.... Which is why I thought I'd offer some freebies HERE. So that these inexperienced fliers could repair their plane with a minimum of hassles & not un-balance the plane by repairing with the heavy glues some of them seem to be using. Also, many of these other glues create stress points that change the design of the plane's ability to survive a crash. The fact that foam-tac remains flexible means it doesn't create any additional stress points. Bill

Hahaha, yep you certainly are the person they should give one to if they require a review of those three particular aspects of this hobby. In fact, I'd probably go as far as to say you are this websites expert on the third! P.S. Getting excited about the ashes yet??

How about how well it handles anal abuse? I bet your buddies from last year can help you out on THAT review...

I've worked on my shipping calculations in PayPal, and now 1~4 bottles will all ship at the low price of $2.99! FOAM-TACBill
