Far & away, Beacon Foam-Tac Glue is the best glue I've ever used. I like it so much, that I've contacted the manufacturer & am now a dealer of their Foam-Tac product. I've also worked directly with Beacon to improve upon the product, and we believe it's now exactly what we as foamie flyers need. Beacon Adhesives is open to hearing more from our niche market, and we are exploring a second formulation as an alternative to CA based glues for 'at the field' repairs! If anyone has additional suggestions/comments about the product, please email me. My own personal observations about Foam-Tac: 1. It's a thick clear goo, reminds me of shoe-goo in it's consistency, but a little thinner. 2. Even though it's thick, when you pull the bottle away, it doesn't have any stringys to deal with. 3. Once bonded, you will not see the seam line & have no idea that it was ever two separate pieces. 4. Even though it forms a strong & permanent bond, the glue remains flexible & clear. I have used it to re-attach a broken aileron, and the aileron functions just as it did before re-attaching (I actually glued the aileron straight onto the wing, knowing that it would still flex after Foam-Tac cured). 5. Beacon & the bottle instructions say it takes 10-20 minutes to form a strong bond, but in my experience it happens in as few as 5 minutes (assuming it's not overly humid). 6. You don't need to use much glue at all, I use far less of it than if I were to use a foam-safe CA for the same task.... and there's no need for any accelerator. 7. And lastly..... It is made right here in the USA by American employees, in a local company. It is NOT outsourced to Asia! Support USA small business'! If anyone reading this would like to buy a bottle, I sell it on my website here: FOAM-TACthis glue has been VERY well received by the folks over at RC Forums_____________________________ Regards, Bill Owner, Filadelfos RC! www.filadelfosrc.com

Always looks a tad self serving to me when the first posting someone has in a forum is to spam us with an ad.
That said the product looks legit as does the seller. The link to the RCGroups thread is good and he seems to be standing behind the product. He even has gotten manufacturing support to come in. There hasn't been time for a lot of use reviews yet. Post # 57 seems the best on this from a quick read. This forum ought to be a good testing ground. ;D
Pricing quoted: [I've gotten better pricing from Beacon, I am now able to reduce the price to $4.29/bottle! I've bought SEVERAL cases of the stuff & can ship out immediately. Shipping costs are still the same, $5.49 for 1-4 bottles.]

Didn't Beacon make Ultimate RC Foam Glue? Why would they want to research into the RC foam market all over again? they had one of the most loved glues in the RC market and discontinued it...
Either way Beacon makes like 10 glues that are awesome for RC foam. No need to mess around with all this. Go to WalMart's craft dept. and pick up any Beacon Foam Glue. 3-in-1, Tack, they're all great.
Gorilla Glue is still #1 in my list.

Foam-Tac is an improved version of their older Ultimate glue. You should try a bottle, you'll never use anything else again!

Hi everybody, Sorry I have not been here for a while. I had to rush my mother to the hospital for emergency surgery 3 weeks ago, and then she was in ICU for 2 weeks. It was all I could do to ship products out in a reasonable time-frame and run back & forth to the hospital. Anyway, enough of my troubles. The RC Groups folks really like the product, the thread is still active with reviews, but not as often as when the post was started. I stand behind everything I sell, and personally inspect each & every item before it ships out. We pride ourselves on product quality & our level of service. US business' cannot always compete with the Asian companies if judged on pricing alone; but the level of service you receive from dealing with a small US based company is usually more important to the hobbyist's than saving a few dollars. That said, I am still quite competitive on most items Well, so as this doesn't look like another self-serving ad spam.... on to the point of my post:Beacon is really looking to get feedback from our community. They have given me a dozen bottles to distribute FOR FREE... NO STRINGS other than to provide some feedback on the product. I am offering the 12 bottles here, I only ask that you cover the postage & packaging materials for me to ship it out. That would be $3.00. Continental US only please. email me at bill@filadelfosrc.com if you are interested, and I will PayPal invoice you for the $3, or else inform you that you are too late to the party ;D I will post the 12 lucky people in this thread so you know it's not a scam.Once you have used the glue, please post your feedback in this thread. That is the only string, you must provide some product feedback... ie likes, dislikes, uses, suggestions, etc. I also would personally appreciate any feedback anyone is willing to provide on my new site design... example of old site: www.filadelfosrc.com/foam-tac_Glue.htmlexample of new site: www.filadelfosrc.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&catid=42:supplies&id=146:foamtacThanks for taking the time to read this post, and good luck on being one of the first 12 to respond to the offer! bill@filadelfosrc.com Bill

Right now I am using a two part epoxy that the local hobby shop recommended, and I don't really care for. It's messy, smells, and wasteful. I figured for $3 bux this was worth a shot!
btw, I like the old web site better. The black screen. I have a 26" wide screen monitor and the other one hurt my eyes a bit, too bright!

I have some questions about foam-tac.
Does it bridge gaps well in foam? and Can you ship outside US? (i'm in Australia)
Say for example your cub has ended up in a tree, and there are some deep dents or gouges in the foam, can you use a thicker variety that fills gaps and isn't too heavy?
I often use aryldyte 2-part epoxy, and while it works well, it's quite heavy too. While many people swear by gorilla glue, i've never tried it myself. It seems to bridge gaps well and also be lightweight because it foams up (or so I've read).

Hello Dillzio, Yes I do ship outside the US & from experience I know Foam-Tac will cost $13.99 USD to ship priority international for 1~4 bottles. Typically, I get orders from Australia for 4 bottles at a time... I'm not sure if it's one person stocking up or a few guys getting together to share shipping, but I send a fair amount down under The product does fill gaps, but it will shrink a little during the curing process. You should fill the gap as if you're not expecting shrinkage, then 24hrs later add additional product if necessary to fill any remaining gaps. The end result is the glue will be rubbery, not unlike cured rubber cement. I think the best solution would be to mix in some Microballoons, this would significantly reduce the weight of your glue/epoxy repair. One important thing to note regarding GORILLA GLUE.... it EXPANDS during the curing process, take this into account if you decide to use that product for gap-filling & repairs. Bill

I like the old web site better. The black screen. I have a 26" wide screen monitor and the other one hurt my eyes a bit, too bright! This was my feeling as well; but overwhelmingly, the users seem to prefer the new site. Can't please everyone, have to cater to the majority. Thanks for your input though!

Spam is spam. Pour a bunch of words over it and spread it on some free but its still the same stuff underneath.
Locktite Power Grab is what I've been trying out lately. Gorilla for the strongest hold.
