Have you tried your HK RXs yet Nick, any good? No John, they went straight into my spares bin. I've not done any hacking or flying for a couple of months now. Ive hardly flown either since July, almost every time I've had some spare time and access to a vehicle, it has been absolutely pi$$ing it down. Feels like it rained almost every day in August here! Did August fair any better 30 miles south of me? John

Woo-hoo!! Still not tried the HK ones, but it's nice to know we can source them locally, and cheaper! ;D

Hmmm, trying out one of these RXs on the bench this morning testing my new emax ES08MA servos which arrived this morning it would appear two of the channels operate ailerons, thats the one thats supposed too plus the one marked AUX1.....The one marked gear appears to be my flaps switchand not gear switch... When I say marked I mean from a drawing I downloaded, as the RXs have no channel markings at all.
Anyone else experienced this?
PS all servos worked perfectly, perfect centering and no noise contrary to what I had since read (they were very noisy and not too accurate!)

John John, I thought I read somewhere that they were the same setup as an AR6100. IIRC the ail and Aux1 are the normal for ailerons on a Spekky Rx, which lends gravity to me (far from perfect) memory. Have you checked it against the outputs on a Kosher Spekky? Glad to hear the servos are good, I'm pretty impressed with the Emax's for the price point. Have you got a PhilG servo exerciser (details on the big fish forums or RCMF)? Well worth the couple of quid if you want to really see how well they perform. I did a comparision of a ES08A versus a 3.7g cheapo from the big fish. The Emax was about spot on after quite a while, the 3.7g was about 5 degrees out within a couple of minutes!

Im not sure if we had this conversation a while ago RE the PhilG "Servociser", I have checked out the article, but I dont have one, I have one of these.....http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=8296
I didnt realise Aux1 was for ailerons too, that makes sense. I just assumed you used a Y lead.
Thanks for the reply Nick,
John

That makes sense, cheers Nick. So is it possible to assign that channel to a different switch if you have seperate flaps? John
