Is correx the corrugated plastic sheets? IF so I threw a large box of it away when I closed my company we used to use it to stiffen envelopes for sending negs in. I have about 4 pieces left, aprox A4. Yeah that's the stuff. I think the normal stuff to use is 2mm as it's light, I tapped up my local estate agent and got some old signs off him, although this is 4mm. It might be a bit of a beast!

Yes, I saw a couple of people had mentioned 14mm heatshrink in the reviews, which seems abit odd as the spec says the width of the receiver is 19mm. Maybe they're reffering to heatshrink that can shrink to 14mm? John

Dammmm, you ordered yours before mine, I didnt order one of them till the day after you, yet all 3 arrived together! Had mine nearly a week now. Not tried out yet i need to repair a split fuse on my cub. John I read elsewhere that they have recently resorted to using HK post again, rather than Swiss post. Maybe mine was one of the last to use the slower Swiss lot.

I bought some 35mm transparent heat shrink for these HK RXs, its supposed to shrink to 13/14mm I bought transparent as its supposed to be easier to see the RX light. My question is, as I have only so far used heat shrink since starting this hobby I have only used it to cover wires and didn't notice whether or not it shrank in length too. Therefore my question is, do I cut it to the exact length required or leave it longer to allow for shrinkage lengthwise too, then trim it after? Many thanks, John It will but only a little bit. Cut it to length or a few mm longer. You only want to cover from the back of the pins (the little board they all stick out of) to just shy of the aerials, or poke the aerials through it. You want them to be (as best as possible) straight. You can have them oriented at any angle to each other but you want the ends to be as far apart as possible.

Yes, yesterday!! Free stickers too, Woot!! ;D Thats great news! I got 3 sets of free stickers! and according to there website since July all orders over 1kg, which my nitro engine and heat gun are, I shall be the proud owner of a free new improved Tx Strap! So Woot woot ;D John PS Heatshrink was way to big , used hairdyer and a lighter even off of the RX I held it with plyers and shrunk the FnCK out of it and it was still way too big. Ouch fingers! Those lighters and hairdryers get dammmm hot! Oooh lovely, a nice strap. I bet you've got and old Canon/Nikon/Pentax one somewhere, probably much nicer. Did it shrink as far as it was supposed to, I'm fairly sure there are different types of it, with different % shrinkage characteristics. Burnt fingers, hahaha. Get used to it, you'll get that a lot when you're flapping around trying to put out the fire that started in one of your nitro planes due to a fuel leak! ;D ;D

Have you tried your HK RXs yet Nick, any good? No John, they went straight into my spares bin. I've not done any hacking or flying for a couple of months now.
