Awesome collection. I was trying to scale up the P-51D Mustang (gunfighter)vs. the SC. And this pic does it. I read the specs but, just wanted a good feel the size difference. I have not been able to decide between the PZ F4U Corsair RTF and the P-51D Mustang Gunfighter. You have sold me on the Gunny! Funny you mentioned in another thread the same two birds I have been considering! Only prob is the TX for the RTF version of the Gunny. My beloved SC is all I have so no extras to go BNF or ARF. I like the Corsair TX. Also, I have always liked the gull wing Corsair's look. I think the RTF Gunny maybe the one and just add to my list of "proprietary" equipment inventory. Gunny RTF is $199.00usd before online coupon. The RTF Corsair is roughly $279.00usd. Your thoughts between the two?

Gunny RTF is $199.00usd before online coupon. The RTF Corsair is roughly $279.00usd. Your thoughts between the two? I figure the extra $80.00 comes from the Spektrum technology. The Corsair does have a big beafy mean look to it. The Gunny has a I wanna carve a knife throught the heart of a cloud look and feel. The Tx that comes with the RTF is ok if that's the only plane that your gonna own, or feel like binding it to each plane and trimming everytime. But we all know how addicting it is and tend to strive to get better so we can fly bigger better faster planes. So on the note I am gonna encourage buy the Spektrum DX6i or better. You will not regret it! Then you can always convert your Super Cub to 2.4 Spektrum and fly with the same controller and have a "potential" 8 more planes to add to the memory. I think it feels great to be able to grab the same controller and fly almost everything in the pic with it. So after that rant I say get a DX6i and a Gunny.

Thanks alot Flyby. Before I bought the SC I said that will be the only one. No buying of others or stepping up. Oh how wrong I was. Like an addict, "just one more, thats' all I need. No more after this.." ;D But the SC is looking for a fast friend to "hang" with. Now for the hard part. Anyone have the best excuse (for the wife or g/f) they have used to justify just one more aircraft??

Anyone have the best excuse (for the wife or g/f) they have used to justify just one more aircraft?? I dunno? I've always had good success telling the truth. Tell her your SC was only meant to be a trainer and is now lacking that excitement that you first felt when you bought it. Like any hobby you have got some satisfaction out of learning to fly your SC. Now you would like to boost your self esteem even more by teaching yourself how to fly a fully acrobatic warbird. And throw in that flying your planes makes you really happy! I don't know how she can say no to you making yourself happy! But then again I have had a couple g/fs that were real bags and I wasn't allowed to be happy Lol.

The truth huh...hmm. Never thought of that approach ( ) Interesting.. have to check into this whole "truth" thing. Have to Google it.. Just kidding. You have done your homework, your collection speak louder than words. G/f and happiness? I have an ex-wife. Happiness eludes the "spawn of the jackal". ;D Thanks for the advice Flyby.

So I'm in my home town of Medicine Hat for days off and went down to the LHS to see if they had a cowl and landing gear for my SC scratch build. They had them! Right on! As I'm going through the parts I see parts for a plane that I have been looking at for a while but could never justify the price. So I ask the kid behind the counter if they had one and he said yes and went and got it. I was $60.00 CAD cheaper than any othe LHS or online! Another good deal! So here it is the E-Flite Ultra Micro 4-Site!

Those Micro 4-Sites are getting rave reviews in the UK for indoor flying. Let us know how you get on with it.

I woke up this morning and it is so calm outside I could hardly believe it. Perfect weather to maiden the Micro 4-site. I got dressed, made some toast and jam. Grab my Dx6i (which was already set up to the beginner "3D pilot" settings) and the plane and headed down the street to the only good paved road out here. Got her all set up and realalized I forgot my video camera....shoot! Oh well pushed the throttle and pulled back on the elevator and in about 5 feet it lifted and went straight up into 3D right away ! This is on low rate rate beginner settings! So I leveled it out before I got to out of control any further than I was and crashed two seconds in. Flew it "normally" for a few minutes getting a feel for it. Did some inverted flight, barrel rolls and knife edge which it does all three really easy. Then I pulled back on the elevator, gave it throttle and tried to get it 3D. I had very little success then the battery started dying. so I landed it and plugged the next battery in. I worked on getting 3D down for the whole battery. I can get it 3D for about 10-20 seconds on average. But at one point I had it there for just about a minute. Long story short, or short story long I guess lol....this thing is AWSOME!

when I'm flying solo I take a piece of Velcro and stick it under the brim of my hat. Then I stick my key FOB camera to that. Then where ever I look it records.

I use my MiniDV attached with a clip to my Tx and sort of point-and-shoot like that.

When I used the small 5in1 cams I used to attach it to my sunglasses. I did get some odd looks ;D
