I bought an E-flite Blade SR today. I had been thinking about getting one for a bit now. Mostly because it's "supposed" to be a docile, easy to fly heli. So I'm at the till and the usual guys were around and pretty stoked to see me buying this. Of course the first question was "are you gonna fly it now?". "sure am" I said with confidence. I opened the box, pulled the battery and charger out and plugged them in. As I was waiting for the battery to charge I read the manual and made sure I had it burned permanently into my brain. Some more time passes...... And the battery is done charging. I put the battery in checking that my cg is good by lifting the heli by the flybar to see if it is sitting level and adjusted accordingly. Servo direction test checked out OK. So the three of us head out side for it's maiden flight. We find a good place in the parking lot and power everything up. I give it some throttle and it starts twitching and jerking all over. So I unplug the battery and wait a few seconds then plug it back in. I give it throttle and it seems to be alot better till I go higher in RPMs. I trimmed it till the was no more trim left, and it still won't fly. So I started compensating for the lack of trim and manage to get it off the ground for about 30sec and then spinning blades met gravel. All it wrecked was the blades. Took it home put some new blades on it and tried playing with the gyro and anything else the manual stated to do. And it still won't fly. Docile, easy to fly my a$$! I really hate phoning HH to complain about the products that were built on a Friday before a long weekend, that some how get into my hands! Sorry for the rant guys, just had to get that off my chest.

Picked up a couple new additions for Christmas. The first is the E-flite UMX Beast. I love this plane! It is so small, yet very responsive! Flies like it's on rails with tons of power to get it haulin' a$$! The next one is the E-flite Carbon-Z Yak 54. I haven't had a chance to maiden this big foam piece of technology do to my landing strip being covered in 4 feet of snow. *UPDATE* flew this marvel of tech the other day. Alls I can say is "WOW good job E-flite" I set up everything as per the manual. The low rates seemed kinda chinsey, but the manual assured me that the throws would be more than enough for normal flight. Boy were they right! It flies like a dream. Barrel rolls on it's axis perfect! Flies super Slow and super fast! Didn't get to do much high alpha but I can tell that it has way more power than it needs!

That is super nice. Electric just sweetens the pot. You could offer in-flight meals on that baby.

First of all, Carl Godbeg is the best part of the whole deal. That name means awesome quality in RC. Secondly, I'm daydreaming of the Habu in the back. I want one!
