This is what I have planned for brushless 480 Cub that has the plexi window. The beige and blue just isn't bright enough for me. FMS makes a good design tool. I added some more details, and a little something for the Star Trek fans.

I don't think I'm going to paint the airboat. Instead I'm covering it with vinyl, for strength and durability. I'll be able to run it up on sand and gravel that way, without any damage. If the thing works like i hope it will, It'll need a thick skin. ;D

OK, the painting is DONE! It's the Ellis 480 I learned a lot about spray painting - next time it will be easier. I just couldn't resist. I still need to cut in the servos under the wing, then she's ready for action.

I covered the fuse in packaging tape - poor mans Econokote. It was a learning experience using spray cans as airbrush, but I could tag a boxcar now LOL. Very nice looking Cub. I would be scared to fly it! Well done. Thanks Badlands, I'm sure there will be some butterflies until it's...(cough) broken in.

Ellis, that's bloomin lovely. I love the logos but can't quite see the Cub one clearly behind the number and Spektrum one, it looks like it's a bear cub flashing it's bits. Could you get a close up of that too, I suspect it has comedy value.

Thanks for the "SCHWING" Kevin. The paint went pretty fast - that Krylon fusion(rattle can) dries pretty quick. Had to figure out the over-spray issue and which direction to start from. the most time was spent futzing around with the urethane, polycrilic, Spackle and sanding. Ginginho, "it looks like it's a bear cub flashing it's bits" man that cracked me up! If I'd only thought of that...sorry to dissapoint - it's a stock Piper Cub logo.
