Great job on the ailerons! What size is the rod that connects the control surfaces. Where would be the best place to buy it? There aren't any LHSs around here so I have to get everything on line.
Thanks

You must use a 4ch or more radio to add ailerons. You can use one servo aileron setup or even two to make it simple. I chose to use 4 hitec HS-55 to do my mod because, they are just the right size to replace the HZ servos. Along with a eflite esc and hitec lazer 4ch radio with a 7ch Rx that I had laying around. Keep in mind that you must replace all HZ radio gear but, the motor can be controled by any brushed esc. www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=4651377www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5944818&postcount=127

Hey mrmugen, thanks for making my mod a red headed step child! Those cut lines are perfect and those bigger ailerons will make your SC roll on a dime.

Yeah sorry about that!..lol. It was nothing really. Just use a new blade. I use a ruler and a sharp blade everytime I cut this stuff. Makes for some slick lines.......provided your have a steady hand. I'm no surgeon but I can cut straight lines pretty effortlessly as long as the blade is sharp and the ruler is not bent...lol. Yours doesn't look too bad.......from my house..lol.. As long as they work....right. Thanks for the compliments.

Great job on the ailerons Mr m. Would be great to see some video of this Aileron mod flying. What is that nice looking model in your pic, and what do you power it up with. It looks BIG..

I have video's of the cow flying with the aileron mod but not the new one yet. I am waiting for less wind to maiden it. The nice looking model is a Jet Hangar Int'l A-7 Corsair II. It will be powered by a 5" Turbax Ducted Fan and run off 37v and draw 88 amps. Top Speed to be around 180mph. It will take me a year or better to get it all together and read al that I need to learn about this monster. It has air-powered retracts......I know nothing about presently but am reading. Once I feel schooled enough I will finish the build. Thanks for the compliments folks.

The new wing is AWESOME! It does rolls on a dime! I cannot believe how well it did them. I was amazed! On the other wing with the smaller ailerons, they only got you inverted but could not roll out of it. I got my daughter to video it. I will do a quick edit on it and post the video. I am sure it will wow you's.
