Hey thats a good idea!! Now I just have to find a piece that will work. Wonder if any of the kids toys have the right size piece?

I used a section of an overhanging lip of a lid to a tupperware rectangular container. It was my own so CinCFam (Commander-inChief, Family) had no reason to complain.

Something I tried to keep the weight down was mesh and epoxy to hold it in place..... It's been much better since I applied it.

Looks like a good next mod. What sort of problems can arise from the wear at rear fuse?

What sort of problems can arise from the wear at rear fuse? I noticed on the stock plane, after hard nose over landings or wing down landings there were small chunks of foam out of the area where I've put the mesh, I think this was caused by the plastic which is on the wing itself.

why dont you just use packing tape since i seen what you guys did nice job but i think that the lightest thing would be the tape

I epoxied a craft stick (like a thin popsicle stick without the round edges) onto the back and the front of the wing saddle. The back is highly recommended, but i think just a layer of packing tape works better on the front section of the saddle.

I used sheet styrene available at most well stocked hobby shops. I used two pieces one on the saddle and one on the fuse itself. Epoxy is my preferred adhesive.

This is a great mod. I saw it on a set of videos on YouTube. The guy made 20 videos on modifying the SC from this to ailerons. Look him up, he has truly done his homework on this great airplane! www.youtube.com/user/NeCubFlyer
