Well decided to get into quads and trying FPV Finally wind died down enough to fly outside FPV is something one has to get use to , that is for sure flying Line of Sight ( LOS) is one thing slide goggles on (FPV ) and for some reason it is different altogether BUT , I must say it is fun...had several flights this evening bounced off the ground. hit the tree's etc etc But had some decent flights as well here is just one video that shows a good time, and a few bumps...lol  Enjoy www.youtube.com/watch?v=klOto9AqPGk&feature=youtu.be |

Normally sleep in on weekends  stay up late at night so this morning, was getting ready to get up was just laying in bed suddenly heard a Crack and then a Huge thud and wood shattering rushed up to see a huge tree limb went through my neighbors out building crushed it and a panel of my fence and limbs landed on one of my out buildings just a small hole in my buildings roof is all i can see so far finally got a hold of him as he was not home he came in and checked everything, crushed his riding mower and damaged a tiller and some other stuff... has rained off and on here and windy as always we talked accessed damage and walked around, I came back to the house and he left..and a few hours later was just watching TV, and suddenly heard another Huge crash and bang and thud the entire top of that same tree fell out and hit the ground just missing his house only damage was a limb knocked his gutter off a section of his roof SO now on both sides have a had a neighbors tree limb fall out ... just before winter the guy on the other side lost a big limb and still sets on my hedges, he has yet to move it, have asked him said he would but it still sets...  now the one on the other side lost a limb and now top of the tree Both are Deputy Sheriffs... the one today is a very nice guy, always checks on me and watches me fly and mowed my field when i was sick last year and is a great neighbor the other guy is not so friendly and seems to be self centered and not a man of his word...lol That's been my day...hearing trees fall and checking damage watching it pour rain and then sunshine and leaves blowing around falling out of tree's...Lol |

Blimey ED ",are the trees out to get you",i like what you said about the marshals ,one being friendly ,the other with a different disposition, not playing good cop bad cop are they .its ok when the trees are smaller, you appreciate the shade they give,but once they get big its a different situation. i remember when i lived about 30miles from Melbourne at the foot of the Dandenong ranges, a lot of city workers had homes up in the hills ,surrounded with forest of eucalyptus trees ,it was a beautiful setting, then we had a heatwave ,very dry summer and this kicked off forest fires,a lot of devastation of the hill sides with the homes over run in seconds. on another note i have finally killed the beaver, it took off all right but was having trouble with left turns on the rudder, when all of a sudden it banked over steeply to the right and spun in from about 100ft , i wont rebuild this time. inspecting it afterwards i found the tail wheel and rudder assembly jammed.the prop shaft snapped off ,annoyed about that ,it was a good powerful motor ,but the 13-4 propeller survived without a scratch  |
