Hello Ed ,well done with the subscribers you must be doing something right my friend.I have had a break from flying the last few weeks, what with losing the hubsan and then totaling my se5a beyond repair,my head was not in the right place i should have stopped flying before .But then recently i have received a clean bill of health to drive again,so i now have wheels and my freedom back. The first place i drove to was the rc shop .I now have an FMS EZ, £134 with floats as well,i shall have to get some vids up, this plane has re-kindled my love of flying, i had eight take off and landings this evening ,with two touch and go"s on the one batty.I had a speed controller arrive for my refurbed hubsan ,after un soldering the dead one and replacing with the new one ,the thing works perfect, what a reversal of fortunes. I am impressed with the FMS EZ ,i shall definitely make my next purchase from them. Mind you this is my first new plane for two years . all the best and happy flying. chris

Hey Chris
That is great to hear all the way around
That EZ plane reminds me of the Hobby King Flybeam, looks close to the same design
I have been flying the 2 UMX Sport Cubs I have...made a few videos of them
placed a key cam on them the other day...it is so hard to get them off the ground with it mounted on them, but once in the air they fly great with the weight .... surprising how that little bit of weight can make it hard to take off...LOL
also I think it is Spectacular your health is doing better and you are able to drive again
yeah when ever you get a chance make a few vids, would love to see that EZ in the air
Ed.

I think you are right ,the ez has a remarkable look of the flybeam without the lights of course, same top loading for the batty short stocky fuselage, although she seems a lot lighter than the" beam" gets thrown around a bit in the wind. I might put the floats on and she what it goes like off the grass, the supercub used to fly better with the weight of the floats on, it makes no sense to put floats on a plane when i live so far from water but i just have a weakness for float planes

I also flew my New Yellow/Gray Yak the other day for the first time
It took off well and nice but after a couple circles it began to rock back and forth
and became uncontrollable ....had to ditch it in the brush....checked everything and all was working and took off and once again it acted up and landed sort of odd and flipped
Kept trying to figure out what was going on..I assumed the battery was not staying and place and it made the CG all crazy as I placed another battery in it and made sure ot was secure in place it seemed to do fine after that ( will get a video up of it hopefully )
So the next day I took my older Blue / White one out as it has Navigation lights and was going to get some video of it flying at dark ...so I wanted to test it while it was still light out ( did not film it ) and it took off well but it also began that wing rock , right to left and became totally uncontrollable.. it started over my head and was heading in the wrong way towards the highway, managed to pull hard rudder, just missed the windsock pole and looped it over the taller grass and ditched it...lost a wheel and landing gear , axle insert...
Not sure if it was or is the same issue, it never did that before..but two Yaks doing the same thing is a little odd to say the least...now we have several days of rain this weekend and next week...going to have to take them apart and check everything and repair the Landing gear and new wheels on the one
I also have a Wilga , will get it ready again for the next time I get to fly..I was wanting to use the Yak's for FPV as I am doing with the little UMX cubs..but if they continue being that unstable , will not be able to do that....
I also am thinking about investing in a UMX Timber to use for FPV..not sure yet
I enjoy flying planes more than quads, I love the ability the quads have to fly in places the planes can't and they fly in wind much better, but , I just have more fun flying planes, guess it's in my blood...LOL
Hope all is well ...keep flying ...
Ed.

I'm getting done with my "break" from flying. Just ordered some new Lipo's, and will go through the hangar next week when I get home. Anything un-repairable or having parts unavailable will be stripped for what it's got. I Know of two planes to be modded and two or three that just need flown hard.
Feels good to get back at it.

Quick update, I got all five new batteries broken in lightly. Fixed a few things here and there and made a Seawind a permanent seaplane. Didn't get to tear down the Corsair yet, but will soon. A friend needs a tailwheel assembly and the rest of the electronics with get transferred to a original model Parkzone Wildcat spare airframe I have. It should be a screamer. Hope all are doing well.

Nope ,the weather this side of the pond is diabolical ,mind you having said that there was a slight weather window last sunday ,before the next hole in the clouds appeared. It turned out to be a very good day ,for me anyway.I was flying the ez ,having fun doing lots of loops and touch and goes ,when a flying buddy i haven't seen for at least 3yrs turned up and gave me a tutorial on how to catch thermals .He had an eflight 2.9 mystique glider ,i think it was called that anyway. He had some trouble at first ,he powered up and released the beasty, and it lawn darted straight away and broke the folding prop, so he left me at the field ,and went home to get a spare prop.He came back with another plane ,an aerobatic biplane a wots wot foame ,i put a vid of my one up a while ago ,apparently we both got one about the same time ,anyway he said it needed work on it ,the decals on this plane are terrible at the best of times and the motor mount was flapping around like a piece of elastic, but he gave it to me in an act of great generosity ,of course i had it stripped down ,repaired and strengthened ,and ready for the flight line within hours ,now i am waiting on the weather .Its funny but i was looking at the wings for my wots wot the other day ,and considering getting another airframe ,fate plays in funny ways at least i feel a bit better after loosing the night radian . Have you got your umx timber yet , i am sorry i haven't checked into the site all week .Anyway all the best chris

Have you got your umx timber yet , i am sorry i haven't checked into the site all week .Anyway all the best chris That is so good to hear...great to have good friends... now if we could get some decent weather... Yes finally got the Timber in....have set it up and placed lenses over the lights applied some tape where the Landing gear fairings hit the fuse as to not puncture it checked it over and applied a tad of glue on the axles so the little push nuts will not slide off and lose a wheel...lol Replaced some velcro to hold the batteries and placed some on top of the wing to mount a cam Also installed those slats that come with the plane on the leading edge of the wing , suppose to help lift they say it is suppose to be floaty...we will see.... just to to make sure the CG is right and get the battery and cam in the best position to ensure that it is I must say this thing is really noisy ( of course use to some noise from servo's ) but this thing is extreme.. everything seems to be working perfectly...now if i can get some clear weather well it started clearing up today finally a whole day with no rain and sunshine, but very cool feels like fall instead of summer , but that summer heat is suppose to return next week but also more rain and wind I might get to maiden the Timber this weekend I hope...it is almost at dark and the winds finally settled down hopefully they will not be to bad tomorrow . Other than that have just been milling around ( got to mow the field anyway )... hopefully the weather will feel sorry for us and allow us a little clear and calm flight time.... Ed

well the sun was shining and the winds were not as bad as they have been SO tried a little flying and gave the Timber a maiden flight this plane is not so floaty as they say in my opinion...it likes flying faster it seems every time I eased off the throttle it would nose down You can see me checking the CG with my fingers and it was level with the cam mounted on the top of the wing moved the battery a little forward to compensate for the key cam....it will need some adjustments and some TLC I just filmed one flight I made only two, it was really to windy I think even for it here is that video ( it is Raw and noisy ) those servos make way to much noise ( but they say it is normal ) www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0-cpc3yE54
