I GOT TO FLY........YAY
Yelp, ....had a great evening of flying
Flew my Sportsman and my Franken -Yak....and it was a monster today it simply does not want to stay in the air...crashed it twice
actually have video and will get them uploaded and will be coming soon
Yak attack...lawn darted it and only put a bend in the plastic cowl..no other damage
left cap on camera, black screens and easily can tell I have not flown for a year
it was horrible flying, to fast, to much turning...lol...but I had a blast
Plus I got some FPV quad time in as well, and a few vids of that as also
flew my tiny 65s and the 85 mm quads.....props kept flying off of the 85 mm very odd but flew nice otherwise
flew around my unique with a little brushless quad, love this thing it is a King Kong ET 115 quad
just faster, larger Whoop style quad .Flies so nice
But so glad i got some air time ...Finally....was scared and nervous and anxious as well...lol
Enjoyed every second...

Hey Chris
yeah I created another channel, mainly because of some idiot spamming my videos and talking garbage decided to create another and use the old one for painting/art and the new one for flying vids
I am sort of an old buzzard and with all the real buzzards that like to fly above me while I am flying, thought I would use that name...Lol
Hopefully in the near future I will get an Archer vid up, have not flown it yet this year I broke out my new one and used servos from older one and made flaps for it and using the old canopy to place a camera inside...old one is stored in a box in case I need parts
Appears that is what i am going to have to do with my Yak....I have a new one with that same paint scheme I will add flaps to it as well...like my Blue and White one, it came with flaps....these gray/yellow ones did not come with flaps for some reason...I like using flaps to get even slower...
do not know why the Yak did not want to turn right, every time it stalled....my SE5a does not like turning right either...
windy and storms in the area yesterday and trying to do the same today...may get some quad flying in maybe, hope anyway I like this thing and flying FPV is so much fun

Hello ED , i am with you on the fun fpv ,hopefully sometime i will sort out a new charger for my quad battys ,might even need new ones ,i think by now the volts in them have gone through the floor. its daft i have a perfectly good mini quad fpv set up and can,t use it because the supplied charger packed up, and the battys have different connectors on them

I have several of the little chargers for 2 and 3's batteries that came with several aircraft and I have 2 Thunder chargers that will charge any battery and an octopus type cable system that has several different styles of battery ends to cover a large range of battery types .
well did not get to fly as i hoped..winds to high and storms around but it never rained here, just to much wind .
we have had some pretty windy weather this year, really more than normal
learned these little quads hate wind..lol

Hello ED ,i wonder if in the hot weather ,what we would call wind ,is actually thermals coming out of nowhere, i mean its all wind . i had a weird flight about 9.30 last night with the acrowot ,there was a slight breeze ,but i seem to be coming from all points of the compass, and when i was trying to land i cut throttle ,set up a glide path and about ten ft off the deck the acro started climbing with no power on , confused the hell out of me i can tell you, it took three attempts to land, but she is a classy performer ,came down nice eventually. when i lived in Australia we used to have strange dust storms , completely out of nowhere like a mini tornado. we look forward to the summer for flying ,me more for the sunset flights around 8-10 oclock ,with it slightly cooler or early morn just as the sun comes up, just lately the early flights escape me ,i mean we are talking about 4.30 am. i really like the long days ,gives us more opportunity to fly when the field is quiet, but the grass situation is annoying, all the goal posts have gone for a while ,but sand has been spread on the pitches, gumming up the wheels, and the grass is long away from the actual pitches. to be honest i get more flying done in the winter, less people about and low grass. "oh us flyers are a strange bunch never satisfied " , i checked out the yak12 today whilst doing repairs, the elevator had reversed itself. before the "thermal flight" the other day i had checked the controls before the flight . have you ever known a control to do this in flight "SPOOKY"

I have had control surfaces freeze or not work in one direction but not reverse unless I did it by mistake myself...normally catch that before flight I am clueless with the Yak, every right turn it stalled and even with throttle up very odd...but my planes seem to like turning left and hate turning right for some reason normally the way the winds come across my field turning right puts me towards the wind and then to line up to the runway, puts me at a crosswind and it seems at that point is when issue happen, going towards the wind to it cutting across the nose coming out of a turn....the Sportsman pays little attention to winds of any kind but the Yaks and Archer and the SE5a seem to be wind sensitive for some reason it is either that or simply my right turning finger is crooked...Lol

got to fly some Thursday morning
just flew my ET 115 quad
did not matter about Sun direction or wind direction with this quad and FPV goggles on my face....which makes the sun in my face shaded...lol .
it was a tad windy, but the little quad still fly great
but since winds have been blowing to hard even to fly it
so past couple days just been relaxing in the A/C...as temps and humidity has gotten higher

We seem to have gotten a bit colder over her and windy, i have been playing about with my videos on the site ,i have attacked my first three. the yak vid at 12mins ,i am having difficulty with ,i mean i put music on then save it ,try to put a second track on ,and it just , very goes over the top of the first one, very frustrating. but i am quite happy with the acrowot at sunset ,and the se5a pilots view ,anyway see what you think,a different opinion is welcomed. chris

not sure what you are using but most have a setting for music that says Add Music and then Add Music at Current point
allows you to have one track so far on the vid and be able to add another track at a certain point you choose in the vid .
Movie maker has that
I saw the vids...hey the music fits great
Nice Job

Hello ED ,i have been using microsoft movie maker, and yes you can adjust the start point of the music, then i save it but when i come to the next song ,i place it ,and it all goes pear shaped. i suppose the best thing is to cut the vids to about 4-5 minutes, there is more chance of finding music to fit,and the length of video makes it more watchable. most of the longer ones are classical ,which i like or they are this mind numbing whale music , sometimes i just like to fly with no cam at all ,just enjoying the flight ,but with thermaling or glider work in general it do-sent make good filming, i mean a glider can float about happily for an hour if you are slope soaring,so no short video is really going to give it justice . mind you i have a Dynam sonic 185 that i have been thinking of getting back in the air, it just needs a rudder servo and an esc , i find the rudder on a glider to be most important ,to keep the turns nice and flat, the ailerons tend to tip the wings too much ,and you risk coming out of the thermal. mind you i caught one with the se5a once ,i had her underneath a low cloud and i shut the power down to bring her in ,and she just kept going up , i new the batty was going down so i had to give full up elevator and full rudder to put her in a spiral in the end ,good fun

never know about that crazy stuff always something going Bonkers
been a hot couple days, spent Fathers day today patching holes in my asphalt driveway....lol...
now have to let that stuff set and dry out and the more you drive over it the harder it gets . Then it will be ready in a month or so to seal it again with that black driveway sealer...
never run out of something to do...winds have been an issue, so can't fly might as well do some work while I am still able .
always afraid of sail planes here, the way the winds are afraid it will get carried over the highway and not come back...lol
