Funny how things work out Sham
Overcast day here today, barely a breeze....had to mow my lawn and the flying field
Takes awhile to do both, but worn out and tired, I decided I would give flying a chance
Hate the fact of having to wait on batteries...seems to take forever
And as i was waiting, skies began to clear, wind picked up....finally got the batteries done
went over the the field was pretty windy, sent the Ol Cub up anyway.
was doing good for a few circuits, and winds got to blowing very hard.....actually blew me into the tall grass once
But, had to try and push these batteries, sent it up again, a couple circuits wind blowing pretty hard...was hard to handle
would take long sweeping turns carried it behind me into a small pine ( no damage )
Had Timer set for 9 minutes to check batts, had three minutes to go....decided to send it up again....
Once again second circle and wind picking up carried it almost over head and heading towards the Interstate...did not want to turn
wind was pretty strong, rather than fight it, I pulled straight up and stalled it and did a stall turn and straight down into
the tall grass again....just a few feet from the Boundary fence of the Highway.
Should have stopped when was pushed into the grass the first time.....but just had to keep trying
Nice fairly calm day into a blustery , to howling evening....never fails
I like that saying Pasquala, that's how i felt , especially that last time I sent her up.
still have little less than half battery life in one and two fully charged
I am just going to let them stew overnight and see what happens
going to try again in the morning ( not going to wait on batteries again...if can't fly, i will reset them in the morning )
