I been reading other RC forums and have asked some questions and advice about some planes, batteries, systems etc etc.
It appears if one even remotely asks a question someone gets offended in the manner it is asked
Seems these other RC forums have a array of people on them who simply believe they know it all, no matter what it is and get
highly offended when you stoop down to their level and tell them a few things especially what they claim to know.
Now I am a newbie to this Technology and have no clue in most things.
BUT when I read hundreds of posts by people who are experienced and new that have issues regarding a certain product or the
way a system is designed and I read the sellers page of reviews and I see where there is an issue I question those things to learn
what I can about them. And I ask about them that is a NO , NO.
I asked about it , got attacked and even told I did not know what i read ? I read about a AS3X system and how
some planes are having servo issues. They acted as if I had committed a crime or bloody murder for making
such a claim even tho it is on hundreds of posts.
I did that on one such forum and was attacked and berated as a child would be scolded for reaching in a cookie jar.
And when i spoke openly like I normally do, they got even more upset. Their years of experience was thrown up and
how i was a 12-13 years old...etc etc...
I go on forums to read about certain products I like or am interested in learning about and or purchasing .
The best way I learned was to read reviews about them and see what the people who own them are saying . One cannot
go by the seller cause he is out to make a sale, he does not care if the product works well or not. Sure many want you
to be happy, but all and all they are wanting the $ money $ for the sale.
SO reviews and forums etc etc are my insight to that product.
IN that past few days every question, comment or statement has been meet with some one who takes offence at what
you ask or say or comment on
Now when I read about a product and I see by the Hundreds of posts about an issue I ask about it and it's cause or
it's possible fix or continued failure . The last thing i expect is being called a child, stupid, or only their to
cause trouble or one even suggested I worked for a Hobby Seller and was there to scam or something. LOL Seriously .
Now I said that to say this....I appreciate this Forum and the people who take the time to answer and respond to my many
rambling questions about products or materials whatever. I never ever thought doing so was an offence to people, especially
when you tell them why you ask ? I have not had that happen on this SC Forum, but it seems that is a Norm on many other
RC Forums.
Like Fly said to me on a post, you can ask 10 people and get 10 different opinions ( that was basically what he said any way )
I found that to be true. I read allot of posts from people who have flown for years and years to people who are new or even only
flown for a few years they all have a different opinion about everything.
I guess one has to take what one says with a grain of salt .
I speak my mind and I am not a polite person by no means but when attacked by someone online or off , I do not take that lightly
AND I have no problem with giving it back in spades...seems that is where the issue arises.
They can say anything to you, but Katy Bar the Door if you say anything back...seems their, " I been doing this for so and so years",
is the Ace they hide and throw it out when their cards are shown.....gets real hairy when they realize your not a kid but an old man
then their tune changes somewhat...however to ask simple questions to get berated is so foolish, and probably so is my response back.
Do not know if anyone else has had that experience, but it has happened for a few days now...seems if one asks to much and
responds back to some statements there will always be someone who takes offence in some manner or another.
Glad I have this forum to come back to and ask questions and get real honest answers,so far that is what I have got and I
appreciate those who give them.
