has anyone tried using the stock prop with floats ? my club & another club had a float & fly today. I bought floats so I could be there. 1st time on floats& it was pretty good took off well. landed almost textbook, but on my 2nd flight it would die at full throttle. it seems that the 10x8 prop will cause too many amps. when I got home I put on the stock prop & the plane acted normal. so next weekend I will see if it will fly with the stock prop.( with floats off the water)

Come on float folks. I've coached a number of you through this, time for you to give back.

Search the files. The problem is pretty common. We've gone over it a number of times before. I'm trying to get some of the other members to pick up some of the support on problems. I do not and never have flown floats but floats per se aren't the problem, it's motor draw. You can start with this. It's not specifically about the floats but the subject is entirely relevant. You will need to read it several times likely, lots of data. supercubclub.proboards.com/thread/4624Addendum: Go to the [Trouble Shooting] forum. Put [floats] in the search tool to the right. Pick any of the first half dozen titles that look like they pertain to your problem....they do.
