I'm trying to find this battery in the UK, without success.
No-one seems to stock them any more.
Can any UK friends help, please?
Loong-Max Tipple 20c 1300mAH.
(Alternatively - a similar battery, approx. 65x34x23)

The more liked packs tend to be in stock for only a few days.

We had Loong-Max on this side of the pond a few years back. Have not seen them for years. HK sold them. Very good packs, worst balance tap wires I've ever encountered. Did they fix that problem?

Yes, Paul, I had noticed that site. But he is showing the 1300 as 75mm long, which is not usual and too long for me. Possibly an error? I think I will email him. (@nick: Thanks for suggesting that big cod, but he hasn't had any for ages and does not anticipate getting any in.) (@fly: I've not experienced any problem with the balance wires.)

You haven't modified the battery box? Sure increases your options.

You haven't modified the battery box? Sure increases your options. Thanks, fly. Yes, soon after purchase I cut away a section of the box's front wall, so that the battery slides in more easily. It lies flat (horizontally). That is why the length is important. I know many people have modded so that the battery fits vertically, allowing them to use larger batteries, thence longer flight time. That is probably the better option. I may do that mod when / if I install a new box.

Fly, yep they did. My first two packs had the hard wire and one required a repair because of it, a mate lost one of his to the wire. The next lot I purchased had silky, silicone taps and no problems were seen with these. Rob at GiantCod had lot of comments on the forum about this very subject (a very good supplier in the UK) and is/was a regular visitor to China, meeting suppliers/factories of RC equipment. He reported the design flaw to the manufacturers AFAIK. As LM moved into the 5C technology with the Tipple products, they continued to fit silicone tap wires, or at least the packs I have and the ones I've have seen. If you can find Tipple's in the US, you shouldn't have any concern with the tap wires unless they are from a different factory to those available in the UK.

Just for info - I have now ordered these from Robotbirds, as recommended by SCC. Many thanks, Paul, also to others for their helpful comments.
(Andy at Robotbirds assures me that the size has not altered and that "with a LiPo 5mm should be regarded as +/- and should be allowed as tolerance". Well, an extra 5mm can make quite a difference when squeezing the battery into the box, even after mod!)

Just as an addendum to this discussion - Giantcod is no more - it is now giantshark, and is no longer owned by rob, but by a company called My.Hobby or somesuch. Prices have risen on a lot of items, and as I've stated a few times, eBay! (shop around, there are bargains to be found!)

Prices have risen on a lot of items, and as I've stated a few times, eBay! (shop around, there are bargains to be found!) I noticed that the Big fish had indeed got bigger, but wasn't aware that Rob had jacked it in. I suspect he was made an offer he couldn't refused and assume he's gone back to his other supply business, to the surfing fraternity. The giantcod brand have been pretty significant in the RC world in the UK, by sourcing equivalent parts in China, driving hugely inflated prices down to allow the common man to enjoy it. Lets hope its legacy isn't eroded away, and prices don't return to the those of pre-big fish.
