Rightey oh, I've now got two new planes... well, one rather old plane (it's older than me!) and a Wot 4 kit that my Dad and me bought (mainly my Dad) for him to build up and me to fly... and him to then repair at some inevitable stage. Not too sure on her proper name, but she was called the Mentor SPC III. Here's a few pics: The mentor before we started work, note she's a trike. Can't really tell here but she needed the whole tail section reattaching and strengthening, and a complete re-cover (we've saved the decals so my Grandpa can re-do them. He's a professional painter and decorator and did them the first time round) Oh, and the yellow body in the background is from a powered glider (at least, the box says it's a glider) and I think it's called the barnstormer. That is a project for another time ;D mostly fixed and being covered: Here she is running, the engine was siezed up completely, had to put it in the oven to sort it out (much to my mum's horror!). It's an OS MAX 35 FP

The mentor looks a lot like the old Precedent HI-boy I once purchased, built, crashed and binned. Hope yours has a better fate!

Thanks toff. Turns out it's been crashed and patched a fair few times by the sounds of things. When's that HI-Boy from btw?

I bought mine in 1988. Sanwa radio gear, MDS .40 engine, and no idea. 16 years old and totally clueless. The plane was in the air for roughly 10 seconds, got scared, tried to turn it to bring it back and....POW! Looking back, it wasn't that badly damaged, but at the time, I'd spent a month building and covering it, fitting the radio and engine....I was heartbroken.

Your Mentor SPC III looks very similar to an airframe a mate got hold of and was going to electrify. Not sure of it's progress as he's decided he's the next Alex Ferguson and gone all footy....
