Been reading on the net that a batch of ar500 were made with cheep china micro procesers...not the more expencive speky chips...resulting in lockouts, binding problems, going into short shutdown!! Not sure what can be done about it and not sure who to contact ...

I think ALL the 'speky' chips are cheap China microprocessors. You pick any of the bottom end Spektrum and you'll find a bunch of folks that are unhappy with them. Maybe legit, sometimes they just don't know the problems inherent with Spektrum.
I suspect you pulled a wire loose, unless you are putting the plug in upside down. I'd check that first.

Then your options seem to be: -stomp on it -call Horizon. If no joy, then stomp on it.
If it WAS working fine and all you did was move it, then it seems hard to credit that it went bad just from that. Think about it again-you must be missing something.

Maybe i'll go to my lhs see if they will send it back...then if they give me a rx good good....but if they send the old one back then i will stomp on it

Hmmm, has this RX been in any sort of EDF? Hmmm? Like a Squall? Or an EF16? Cos we've seen what you did with them! You showed us!! Be honest!!

Ermm..... Yes toff....but since the last time it lockedout n smashed my squall i used in my ef16....then it lockedout for 3-4 secs feels like 3-4mins...got it back down safe tho,i started useing my speky satalite rx in the edfs now :-) The ar500 was ok in the extra till i tryed to bind it in the wing then...nothink!.. Im going to forget the extra n wing for a while and hopefully geting a blade 450 3d soon..

Possibly something like a intermittant joint that would fail when larger forces are applied to it. During the handling of it when you stuck it in the wing you may have made the intermittant dis-connects more permanent.
