I bought my 'Cub back in March and spent many happy hours crashing and bashing it about whilst learning to fly. Great plane to learn on and has helped me move on to bigger and better things.....T-28, Stinger EDF, Bixler FPV etc. But I've always had a soft spot for the 'Cub and as time has allowed I've done a few upgrades to her like a clipped aileron wing and brushless conversion to keep her interesting to fly. But due to the amount of "unplanned landings" she's had over the last few months, she was looking a little tatty. So I decided she deserved a new fuselage, paint-job, LED's, T-28 tail and some better undercarriage to go with the bits I'd already done. Pretty pleased with the way she's turned out, just finished the build yesterday but windy as hell here so yet to maiden her.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys, glad you like it. ;D Still not flown her yet, and to be honest I'm a bit scared of smashing it up. But it's all balanced nicely, everything checked + double checked, guess there's only one way to find out. Todays the first day in a week it's been calm enough and I have the day off work, so lipo's are on charge as we speak. Wish me luck!

Todays the first day in a week it's been calm enough and I have the day off work, so lipo's are on charge as we speak. Wish me luck! How did you get on? Apologies, been away for 2 weeks holiday, just got back last night. The maiden went great, she's got a fair bit more weight with paint, U/C etc but balanced nicely and more than enough power from the 1250kv motor to cope with it. Handles the wind a lot better now too. Unfortunately her 2nd flight wasn't quite so sucessful. Went out the night before my hols and tried my first bit of night flying to check out the LED's. No problems at all with orientation etc and the LED's are bright enough but discovered that judging where the ground is can be a bit tricky in the dark and ripped off one of the U/C legs on landing. Not too much damage done and should be an easy repair, so all in all really pleased with my mods. Thanks for asking.

Very pleased to note that your beautiful creation flew well and remains largely intact.
If it were me, with my luck, I would keep it in a glass case and never risk flying! ;D

This is like 3 years old but how do you make that thing for the wheel? That white thing that covers it, it looks cool!
