Hi everyone, I've been trying to figure out a way to connect my stock 3 ch HZ SC transmitter to my pc through my microphone port so I can use it to play FMS and RC Desk Pilot. After some research online I found this thread: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=545369, which outlines how to do it with a 4 ch PKZ transmitter, however mine is slightly different and I haven't been able to locate the PPM out on my transmitter's pcb. I tried following some of the suggestions in the thread like using an oscilloscope program to try and find the PPM out on my radio but have been unsuccessful, if anyone has tried this before or has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Daniel

I identified a rubber plug on the side of my transmitter blocking a hole about the size of a 3.5mm head phone jack. I also noticed on the pcb, right where the hole is, were two soldering points suitable for a surface mounted plug of some kind. One of the two soldering points was connected to the negative terminal of the battery, the other I could not determine. But I attempted to test the soldering points for the transmitter's PPM out using the oscilloscope program but it didn't read a thing. I then noticed that when the transmitter is off, the second soldering point, the one that was previously undetermined, becomes connected to the positive terminal of the battery, leading me to conclude that it is meant for some kind of charging device. Any ideas?

I did that with an old GWS TX. Frankly it's just WAY easier and simpler to use a cheap USB SIM TX. You can get 'em for $20-25. Playing with the MIC port and setting up the program is a pain. Plus, it still needs batteries and it's still transmitting signal.
