Looks nice, I agree. As and when I get something like this though I think it's unlikely to be a foamy.

why not buy something foam like this and glass it urself? :-) Strength of fibreglass and the durability of foam... I think I know what ur going to say though - foam is still much heavier than a hollow fiberglass airframe.

I don't really see the point of glassing a foamy unless it's for a specific purpose such as speedy EDF's and the like. A lot of hard work when you can get a pre-built with detail that will be difficult to match. No, rather I meant that I'd go for a balsa/ply build ARTF a bit like those we saw at the show John. Dillz, did you look at the pictures I posted, that'll give you an idea of what I'm talking about. OK those flying were gassers, but they can be converted fairly simply. Plenty of nice looking kits out there.... EDIT: Not quite as nice, but a bit like this:

John Hmm, good question, well put. A bit of both I guess. I certainly need to get revitalised into RC if I'm going to get another bird, especially of that sort of size. If I get round to talking to the lads at the local club and join it, whether gassers are allowed would play a part. At the moment this is all a long way off.
