Would 2200 lipo packs work in the rtf sc or will i burn stuff!! I want to fly today

they will work fine, a little heavy perhaps but you can't burn stuff out just by increasing the mah of the battery, only increasing the voltage will burn stuff up.

Not too heavy, Dill. A 2200 mAh 20C 3S has been my battery of choice (9 out 10 times) for two years of Super Cub adventures. It's great for over 30 minutes of flying.
I had it on my old SC with the stock motor and it flew beautifully.

I didn't say it was TOO heavy, i said "a little heavy perhaps".
I used to fly 2200s in my stock cub as well, but I found the cub was much more nimble with 1300mahs.

More likely to be increasing the current draw ("big prop, big motor, yeahaw!......Ooh, whys it not responding and en route to a vertical landing?"). The most common method of cooking components.
