You want to use paint, it is cheaper than solar film, read the section on painting you cub, most people cover there planes in solarfilm, its not cheap but looks good and gives the plane some streangth, it takes 2 metres of solarfilm to cover a cub at £5 a metre :-)

A couple of mates of mine have used the spray from B&Q, not sure of the name. I don't even know if it eats foam, so try on a small area holding the can a fair distance (9-12") away. It's pretty cheap IIRC. I think the different area under (with the threee holes for ventilation) is softer foam, so be even more careful with that bit.

This may of been mentioned but i used to use a paint that Tamiya make. It dam good stuff, on the RC Car i built some had clear ploy plastic shells, used to spray the inside on the shell with Tamiya paints. Here a cutting form their web site: Tamiya Acrylic Paints are made from water-soluble acrylic resins and are excellent for either brush or spray painting. These paints can be used on styrol resins, styrofoam, wood, plus all of the common model plastics. The paint covers well, flows smoothly with no blushing or fading, and can be blended easily. Each bottle of the Tamiya Acrylic Paint Series contains 23ml and each bottle from the Tamiya Acrylic Paint "Mini" Series contains 10 ml of paint. Available with 23 glossy, 51 flat and 7 translucent colors, plus an exclusive thinner and a flat base.
