Cheers Fly, thanks for the links. I have googled the ar$e out of it, I was just interested to know whether people here thought the difference in price for a digital was worthwhile when comparing the same rating model from the same supplier? Choices choices choices! John

My take on it at the moment is that for general sport flying, probably not. For high precision, high performance flying it may well be. For the Cub....naw.

From everything I have read, the E-Power servos that GC sell are essentially rebranded E-Max servos, anyway after my recent TX upgrade I decided I couldnt afford the Savox £14.99 a servo route right now. Last night I invested in 4 E-Max 12g MG (ES08MA) to try out. They are from china so I dont know if they maybe dodgy clones or not but then hey everything I buy from any model suppliers seems to be from china. They do come with original(?) boxes and arms as I asked in advance of purchasing, I dont know if this is a sign they maybe genuine (prob not)? Here they are cheapest I could find........ cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180512949854Note, I didnt buy from GC as no stock. John

John John, I have E-Max ES08A's fitted to the Gem, bought from the big fish, still labelled as E-Max. These are the 8.5gram ones with nylon gearing, I'm very happy with them. The majority of Rob's kit is from China, he goes there quite a bit to source suppliers. The only thing you have to worry about is whether the E-bay seller is selling the same as Rob, or clones of them.

Yeah in the worst cases of cheapo servos I've read the Metal gears can actually be softer than decent nylon ones! , I hope they're not like that! John

if it helps, my tail servos were ES08MA servos, and they just survived the crash shown in the crash subforum. i'd say they're nice, and a good deal in my case. mine came from heads up RC.
