When landing my SC in the longish grass on my flying field, the plane invariably pitches forward.
I keep reading that larger wheels will help to overcome this.
Please can anyone point me towards suitable wheels which can be bought in the UK?
(I am trying very hard to master the art of flying - honest! The stock joke in our house is: "Goodbye dear, I'm off to crash the plane again. Put the kettle on, I won't be long . . . ")

Renard, The ones posted by Dillz will work, I think they are what I fitted to mine. I had to extend the axle stubs as they were a little bit wide. I posted the changes on here a long time ago. An alternative would be these. I've used these on my Twinstar L/G mod and have a couple spare. I can measure them up against the SC if you want me to. For a rear wheel, this should do you.

Dont forget to look at these also, www.trexlerballoonwheel.com/. The add amazing realism to the cub and perform great. I have the 9g 3" wheels and want to move up to the 10g 3 1/2". I can take off and land in taller grass and snow, as long as it's not too deep. I had originaly put a bigger tail wheel on but no longer want it. The tail is off the ground in a second also it helps with the angle for takeoff

Very many thanks to everyone for the great advice and suggestions.
Stukeith: Thanks for posting. I sometimes go to Mainly Trains & Planes, as I live in Hedge End.
That shop may be my best bet, as it is fairly near and I won't have to pay shipping.
I (and possibly others) would be grateful if you could let us know what wheels you get, and if they are OK for the SC.
If no good, I will try those suggested by others.
Thanks again to all you helpful people!

one potential problem with the tail wheel is that the shaft is really small. Most wheels will have a hole that's too big for the shaft, which will allow the wheel to wobble, and compromise your steering when ur on the ground.

I understand that fitting larger front wheels could mean better take off and landing - but is it also desirable to fit a larger tail wheel?
