The RX in my Super Cub is acting up and I was considering replacing the electronics. I just got a Dx6i TX want to replace the RX with something compatible. What I'm trying to determine is if there is a way to do this and keep the function of the Xport. Any ideas if the Xport will work with a news RX or am I stuck with whatever Hobbyzone makes?

You may be able to get something working using a spare channel and a servo on a Spekky compatible Rx for say a parachute drop. It would be pretty complex (if possible at all) to do this with the "gun" so that the motor cuts out for a period as the standard option does. IMHO, a lot of grief for 5 minutes of fun before you are bored with it. |

There is x-port functionality on the BNF supercubs and they have a spektrum receiver. If you look into how they do it in that package you should find the answer you're looking for :-)

Dill is correct. OTOH you are stuck (I'm pretty sure that is the right word) with another HZ proprietary part.
May be more useful to figure out how to get that feature (some kind of 'drop' right?) using servos and made up parts. It's done all the time.

Iv done that kind of thing with my cub,cut the batt box to make it easyer put the batt long ways against the firewall peace of foam glued in to hold batt,allways a gd thing to use velcro to keep bat in place,use a servo to conected to the gear on tx open/close bomb bay"batt door" simples or if u wana night fly there are many light moduels on the market to pug in ur rx!
