Hi, I'm toying with different paint scheme ideas, but too busy flying to paint the cub for now. ;D But, I had an idea that if well executed, could be a pretty sweet cub. Take the cub and wrap it with: Why? To wind up with something like this: It wouldn't be easy and would take extra care to not crumple the foil when applying it, but I think you'd get a pretty darn unique Cub. I did a quick search and found nothing on tin foil wrap on r/c models. Maybe there's a good reason for it.

Can't find the link right now but you get the foil duct tape and use that. Works well and can be made pretty smooth and shiny. I'll try to find it.

You'd want to be careful using cooking foil, it's pretty likely to reduce the range of the Rx as you are effectively wrapping it in a conductive material, which is pretty absorbant for HF waves. That's why there are special Rx's for carbon bodied models.

I think it would be really awesome if you made aluminum panels out of cans of soft drink!

Too true too true, to be honest I would also thinly slice some garlic and insert it between the foil and fuse too! Its probably a good idea to cook on a very low heat, say 25c for a few hours, that way the foam should remain tender without melting! Mmmmmmmm I can smell her now! ;D

That's why there are special Rx's for carbon bodied models. That's one thing I though about. The nice thing about it is I can easily remove (or at least I think) it, I would think it would peel off easily. The duct tape idea is nice, but no room for error, and I highly doubt I'd be to remove it later!
