John, AS it's coming from Hong Kong we are into the realm of grey imports (proper CE certification?, etc...) with this one, which may invalidate your BMFA insurance. You'd be wise to research it in depth before parting with your folding..

John. Dont waste your money on these cheap unheard of transmitters. Stick with JR or Futaba.

If you do go for it be fully prepared for no support, no service, limited parts, and a rotten manual (if any). The thought of a rotten TX manual gives me the willies. The good ones are barely understandable. I guess that's where all those guys that used to write DOS manuals went.

Thanks chaps, I wasnt considering it unless a few people chipped in and said they had one and it was a great piece of kit, just curious.
With regard to the manual, its a piece of paper with a web address to download as a PDF.
Thanks again chaps, John

John, an option if you don't want to spend a fortune on a new JR/Futaba/Spekky/Hitec/MPX tranny with a lot of (7+ channels) and want to go 2.4Ghz, you could consider getting a suitable second hand 35MHz modular radio and a 2.4Ghz module set for it. There are some good ones out there apparently (with subsequent cheaper Rx's) apart from the main radio manufacturers. Beware, if you get an MPX Tx be prepared for everyone to take the p!ss out of it.

On the subject of full range, could someone confirm in either metres (Correct spelling. I dont care what this forums spellchecker is underlining, in my opinion it could do with a ruddy good education) or ft what distance constitutes full range?

Thats not a bad idea, thank you. Whats up with MPX, is that Multiplex? Thanks, John It is indeed, and it seems that the radios are large in comparison to every other radio, often called teatrays by others. I believe that they are configurable in a lot more ways than the others so MPX users believe they are more intelligent whereas the rest think they are akin to UNIX geeks (bearded types wearing shorts, socks and sandals!). As an good example, here's a gentle prod that was recently posted on RCMF in a thread about the cause of crashes: I think XXXXX [name removed to protect the innocent ] is on to something, and it is indeed multiplex users that are to blame, after all they have a knock on effect to those sensible chaps using other radio gear. It can be awfully difficult to keep proper sight of your model when tears of laughter are rolling down your face when the strange corduroy and sandal wearing (with socks ), lentil sucking beardie Gollum type creature ambles up next to you on the flightline carrying his pizza box and almost always jabbing you in the ribs with one of the corners of his hugely oversized transmitter (with built in magazine rack for copies of "The Lighthouse") before trying to find the sticks in amongst the wildly overgrown beard thats trailing all over his radio, then handlaunching his vintage 3 channel, converted to el**tric model in to the ground while proudly preaching the teachings of the Cult of Multiplex!! I mean you try not crashing in those circumstances!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
