A Slideshow of some of the pictures I've taken over the past week of the aircraft displaying for the show. Most taken from my garden, a few from a local park. More to come, but here's a taster. Enjoy....

Thanks folks. John, most of the Arrows pictures were actually taken from a bedroom window, although the first few (and the last one who is on final approach) were taken at the park over the other side of town near where I used to live. Pretty near to the pub you came to when we met. It was a little dissapointing that that F-22 didn't fly on the public days. I haven't seen a jet do a flat spin like this did, nor just hang in the air (like a prop hang but obviously not using a prop!) for 30 seconds, like this: Here it is coming out of the clouds, I think the camera struggled with this but I like the result: Still have more to upload. Some more of the F-16 & F-18 and a few of the BoBMF.

I saw an F-22 flt at an air show last year. Unbelievable what that plane is capable of. I was just in awe of it. It's great you got to see it for yourself.

Hurray for Lockheed and their massive heaps in technological ingenuity when it comes to avionics. What a magestic machine, that F-22. And the GD F-16! I love the Sixteens. Why, oh, why are Americans so d@mn good at making teh flying machines?? lol Take THAT, world! >

Luvvin these two pics, bottom ones a framer surely? John Thanks John, I'm not too sure as it's not too crisp when enlarged, although Flickr seems to soften pictures anyway. I may upload it to another site then have a word with my Friendly printroom chap. EDIT: It doesn't look too bad as the background on the works laptop!

If you wanna send me the original file I could have a go. I ran a photo library for several years and my business partner was one of the countries leading retouchers, we were doing 48 sheet billboard ads for the likes of Yamaha, Nokia, Landrover etc. I picked up quite alot of retouching experience myself in that period, though I claim to be no expert I'm fairly good. If its quite a large file you could send it to me via www.yousendit.com, great service and free for up to 100mb per month. John

John Thanks for the offer and yes, it's I have a RAW (Oly so it's a .orf), I think I've cropped it forr what you've seen here Icheck when I get home. I'll have a go at uploading it to that site and send a PM when done. I've been trying to get a grip with some editing software, but invariably fail to enhance a picture in any fashion to make it a great image, unlike most I see on the photo fora on the web. If you know of any websites which have a decent tutorial on the subject, I'd appreiciate a link. I'd better make a statement about intellectual property and all that, I wouldn't want you retiring on the proceeds of my picture when I could instead! ;D

Intellectual property, understood. As a picture library owner I was responsible for looking after the rights and intellectual property of almost 200 photographers. Also as a photographer myself I fully understand it. Theres a great book you can get produced by the AOP (Association of Photographers) called beyond the lens. It explains all sorts about intellectual property and licensing etc. cgi.ebay.co.uk/Beyond-lens-Rights-ethics-business-practice-/380248856872?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Non_Fiction&hash=item5888991928albeit thats a brand new expensive copy, if you can pick up a 2nd hand one cheap worth doing if your ever interested in selling work commercialy........ Anyway by the time I'd finished tampering with it, you wouldn't have a leg to stand on! ;D
