What a deal on these radios. Too bad I'm about to get rid of mine and upgrade to a Turnigy 9X Wow, that's a steal as well for the 9X. IIRC they were a similar price a few months back but without the TX module. The price of the 2.4 stuff is getting so cheap these days.

Yes, it is. i was considering getting a DX6i but the fact that the cheapest I can find it for is $80 used and the Rx are >$35 kills the deal for me. this TGY X9 is modular, includes the module and 8CH RX for $60 USD! Can't beat it. 8 model memory and programmable. And rave reviews... Sweet deal, if you ask me.

Incredible price. 16 years ago when I was 12, I was into RC Planes but couldnt afford anything because they were SO expensive, I mean $24 servos, $300 remotes, $150 receivers, etc... Now everything is cheap and small. Gotta love technology!

I just got an email from hobbyking telling me that the replacement receivers for the version 1 transmitter have just arrived in stock, after being out for months. I logged on, added a couple to my cart, then had a browse around for some other stuff to add to make the postage cost of the order more worthwhile. By the time I got to check them out the stock level was back down to -3 again.
Looks like there's a lot of people out there that are choosing to stick with the version 1. Having the satellite receiver seems to make it much better IMO.

One of the problems with Chines stuff is support > the almost complete lack of it. Cheap, but no service.

One of the problems with Chines stuff is support > the almost complete lack of it. Cheap, but no service. No doubt! But, if you buy 10 items, and have a problem with one or two, you are still quite a bit ahead. If you can keep it to the more simple items like: batteries, motors, linkages, props, foam airframes, etc... support won't be much of an issue.

Not yet. That thing's never in stock. I'd rather save for a more reliable radio though. Like I said, I'd like a DX7, an Optic or Hi-Tec radio.
