Hi John. Thats just a sticker with 25mm. The LX3 is a very cool camera. I nearly went for one but the TZ7 was slightly smaller and lighter for AV.

Here is my first vid of the Quad and from the Quad with the Gopro. The Quad needed to be trimmed with the extra weight as I was getting some drift, but I didn't want to take my eyes off the Quad. I had to get my mate to hand launch and catch as my landing gear is not long enough. In time it will get better. www.vimeo.com/11016897

Nice video Paul, though I couldn't the 2nd link to work. Are those quads hard to fly?

Hi John. That link should work now.
I think it all depends on your flying skill really. I find the hardest thing is orientation.

Nice Vid Paul, great for some footage. How's it handle wind?

Nice Vid Paul, great for some footage. How's it handle wind? Cheers mate. Not tested it on a windy day yet. Other users have complained that it is not stable. I personally don't like flying anything on windy days, but I will give it a go. There is an issue with wobble which will hopefully be sorted with firmware and all that geeky stuff ;D I think it is a pretty good performer for a machine that just needs building, is nearly half the price of the german machine at the beginning of this thread and does not need any soldreing. It also comes with the camera mount.

Cheers Paul, link worked, what sort of range do they have altitude wise and is it controlled by a tx or is it preprogrammed flight path.
when I asked how easy it was to fly I really meant compared to a heli, it looks a lot more stable with its physically central cog (I presume it is?)

Hi John. Its controlled from the Tx, so altitude would be down to your Rx. When the GPS is released I'm sure you will be able to set waypoints. On the flying. It has two modes. Hover and cruise. Cruise acts like a normal heli. Hover mode is self levelling when you let go of the stick. First pic from the quad today.

Very nice video work, particularly liked seeing the quads own shadow at the end. When I watched it I opted for the HD version, as much as it was way better than your standard key fob type cams that most of us here have, it still didn't really seem like the HD that they claim. Is that simply a quality loss in the upload and is it better when you watch straight from the original video?
Believe me I'm not knocking it, I'm just curious at what enables these video makers to claim HD, I believe my little spy cam claims that too and yet is nowhere near the quality you have shot here.

Hi John. It definitely is much better straight from the camera. I watch quite a lot of vids from quads shot with the gopro and I always watch them in the smaller screens as the quality of the vid is crap when loaded up on the video host sites. I must admit I'm not very clever with all the camera and vid stuff. I'm probably not rendering at the correct settings.
