Heres the latest member in my hangar. A very stable platform which I'm hoping to do plenty of AP/AV. I got it secondhand as these little things cost a fortune new. This one is made by a German company called Mikrokopter.

Those things look awsome to play with, a simple design with lots of tech inside.
I want one...

That's very impressive. I took a peek at the ARTF price (have to solder the components to the boards)....

That GPS coming-home option is awesome.. why can't we get that for Dill? Good idea. The only problem is that the guy called shaun my think it stands for ''Gay Positioning System'' ;D

ROFL I bet Dill wishes he hadn't told us about all that. But it sure has been good for a few hundred laughs.

I'm guessing my wife and the FAA probably beg to differ but, I really should have a full size one of those.

The Quad is awesome, cant wait to see some AV shot from it, looks like it can hold a good amount of weight too!
Enthralled, John

Wow, does yours actually have the GPS navigation, or is that something extra you have to get put into it?

Wow, does yours actually have the GPS navigation, or is that something extra you have to get put into it? I do have the GPS but its not working at the moment. Finds the sats but when I engage it does not hook in. Hopefully it will be a simple problem in the setting up. Waiting for a mate to have a look as this kind of thing is way over my head ;D John. I have just got myself another camera so hopefully there will be some AV soon. This little camera produces some fantastic results. Comes with a waterproof housing. Might try floats one day A sample of what this thing produces. www.vimeo.com/8598519

I dont know how easy that quad is to fly but lookin at the way you leave it hanging and put the TX on the ground I believe I would feel a whole lot more secure attaching the Hero cam to that as opposed to my Cub. Those cams dont come cheap. Out of interest what is the Lumix behind. My gf has the DMC LX3 (and that one looks identical cept for colour and the lcd with 25 on the front), its a wicked little cam, I bought it for her birthday cos she wanted a little cam alternative from her dslr set up. I used one for a month in the States. Im a photographer by trade and would thoroughly recommend it. PS whats the 25 all about on the front of the lumix, is it a frame counter? If it is, it seems odd that its on the front and was wondering why? John
