Hello everyone. Here is my pic. I just finished this mod of the SC. I added ailerons, new electronics, and wing saddle/gear box reinforcements. Flies great!

Ah, yeah I used the same videos as a guide to reinforce my battery box and wing saddle too. Which film did you use to cover it with, and do you know how much weight it has added?

I used Hanger 9 Ultracote Cub yellow since its so light (30 oz/sq. ft.). Unfortunately Hanger 9 discontinued making matching spray paint (for the cowling, etc). The weight change was very nominal with no noticeable changes in flight characteristics (especially when using a lipo). Also, I was concerned about the aileron size/position as well, so I tried to keep it as close to scale as possible. It turned out really nice with just a bit of adverse yaw when not using rudder.

Thanks ginginho, Ahh yes the wing tops were pretty tough. I used a top flight iron w/sock. Just took my time and worked my way out from the middle. You have a cool scheme on your SC. Did you come up with that? I have always liked the J3 scheme and was glad to see that many full size SC use a similar one. My scheme is based mainly on this awesome looking 33% sized SC: www.upperspace.com/archives/newsletters/may03/
