Hi gang, Here is my most recent upload, I took this vid while on a recent holiday up to Moana Beach. I flew from the same place the next day, and that was the time the wind picked up and stole my plane away from me. Happy watching!

Nice one Dilz, a lovely location. I can't wait til we get some decent sunshine over here so that I can get a reasonable vid, these spycams certainly don't work very well in low light conditions. I see you still got your upside-down date and time so guess you've not cracked how to turn that off. OTOH, it's probably the right way round for you antipodeans!

yeah yeah, very funny.
How do you mount your camera so that it manages to be the right way up?
I need to replace my fuselage, so I'll need to cut out another recess for the camera again.

dillzio, nice vids.......My camera just showed up, I'm going to have to figure out how to mount it, so I don't have to put it upside down. Btw that last landing was harsh lol

yeah, the landing was a bit rough, but if you see what I had to contend with around me you'll understand why. Just cleared a 2.5m high barbed wire fence on the way in, and landing it on a bitumin driveway to avoid trees, a shed and a fence. Overshooting the landing strip would have put the plane into a sthingy drain, my car, or the cabins behind me. I'll add a tag to the video so people can see where I was flying from.
On the first video, at 1:50 and 2:30 i've added tags to show where i was flying the plane from, and what i was using for a runway. I've also labeled it in this pic I snatched from Google Earth:

I tried to mount mine on the SC using the helmet mounting bracket and passing the wing rubber bands through that but the cub then had a bad tendancy to dive. I think with a bit of testing this could work well, and the camera may be high enough to not have a prop spinning in view. I use my TS for filming as there is no prop in the way, and simply have attached a bit of velcro at the back of the cabin area and a bit on the back of the camera, leave the cabin off an "Bob's yer uncle". However, unless you have a TS, you aren't going to be able to do the same.

I modified the hinged bracket using just one nut & bolt. With this set-up i can point the camera in any direction if i attach it to the plane using velcro. I attach the rubber band to the plane as a safety back up. Please excuse my beat-up cubs, the black & white one is the oldest & has sooo many air miles on it Ive experimented with a pole mount, so i get a 'looking back' view but it seem too unstable. A TS is a Twin Star , a lovely twin motor plane.
