You're link to the motor combo doesn't work.
I'm waiting on the same radio to arrive
You match the ESC to the motor, and use a battery big enough to feed the motor without being over drawn. The receiver doesn't really care, as long as the ESC has a BEC to power the receiver. You will also need to buy servos to go with the package. The stock Supercub servos are 5 wire, Industry standard servos are three wire.
You'll want a KV around 1000, with an roughly 15 -20 amp max. None of the towerpro combos comes with a prop that I would use, but thats easy to change.

Thanks for the prompt response!
I don't understand what servos to use... Could someone include a link to some Hobby city servos that are good and not to expensive, and that will work with the receiver.
Thanks!

Sigh, everyone wants to go brushless. It's not a holy grail or something. It's just another motor. The stock brushed motor on 3S lipo is not half bad and a LOT better than the really cheap HC motors/ESC that people are buying. The actual efficiency of the stock brushed motor is probably BETTER than any of the TowerPros and more reliable plus you don't have to shell out big $$ to go Spectrum.
It's not that brushless is a problem in itself. I'm totally brushless. It's that folks are spending a whole lot of money for a small increase in Cub performance just to find this out. Yes, it does take you to the next step, hopefully a decent TX. That alone makes it worthwhile but I'm pretty skeptical of the cheap 2.4GHz systems being snapped up.
Prediction ---- EVERYONE buying the cheap Hobby City 2.4GHz TX/RX will dump them within a year. I said it here. Bookmark it and make a note. You folks buying them. Review and report back once in awhile.

Dirtbike guy, be aware that the TX is mode 1, that means you'll have throttle on the right stick (with rudder) and elevator/aileron on the left stick. Most flyers prefer mode 2 which is throttle/rudder on left, elev/ailer on right.
Any 9gram servo will suit the cub, assuming that it's not garbage. Read reviews on sites to get a feel of the quality before purchasing.

[SNIPPED] Prediction ---- EVERYONE buying the cheap Hobby City 2.4GHz TX/RX will dump them within a year. I said it here. Bookmark it and make a note. You folks buying them. Review and report back once in awhile. I don't think you are far off the mark there Fly. My RC supplier has started supplying a similar, cheap 2.4Ghz 6 channel radio which seems to be running cloned Futaba software. Although most who've got one are fairly happy with it, they tend to only use it for scratch builds and cheapo airframes, not trusting it with their more prized aircraft. There have been a few problems identified which most are sorting themselves (e.g. stick only effects servos on 1st 75% of travel), however these guys are muddlers who enjoy poking around and modding things. I'm not sure your "average Joe" will be interested in doing these mods and will just live with the limitations or ditch the kit. I've been toying with getting another radio, but as and when I do, I suspect it'll be a quality make on another frequency that I'll hack a 2.4 module into/onto. At least I'll have the piece of mind knowing that the innards are made of quality components and the software is known and trusted. I've seen many second user 6/7 channel 35Mhz (our equivalent to your 72Mhz) JR/Futaba/Hitec/MPX radios selling for around the same price as these cheap 2.4 units, some considerably cheaper.

As Duck said-Mode 1, don't go there. You need Mode 2. If you just gotta go that route then you have a remote chance of some customer support should something go wrong buying stateside: supercubclub.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=userrecentposts&user=flydiverWhen I started I couldn't tell quality of ANYTHING RC. My first TX, a bottom end 4-ch GWS unit, after the RTF stuff (Cub, Megatech) seemed quality by comparison. Now it seems like flabby, floppy, tinny garbage. I don't even like the DX6i much, too many corners cut to bring a serviceable 2.4 to the mass RC community. These low end 2.4 are going to 'toy-like' and probably have a lot of issues that will crop up as they start getting a lot of people using them to really wring them out. It'll be similar to the electrics on the Cub, serviceable but barely, and soon disappointing. I think more money wasted on a dead end product.

Actually Ginginho said that.
The one I ordered is mode 2, and if it ever clears customs, I'll let you know what I think of it, compares to the DX5E, the Stock SC Tx, and the E-Flite Tx that came with my Heli.
For 35.00 i'm not expecting stellar performance or quality.
