Any advice on clipping about 2" off each wing? If you read my "can motor re clock" thread, you will know that I had a rough landing on the roof of a gym. Long story short is that I broke off 1" of my left wing tip and could not locate the missing foam.
Any advice on clipping the wing tips or is the wing I worked so hard putting ailerons on now trashed?
...HELP!

I have seen one (maybe on here) but the guy cut a equal width out of the straight part of each wing and then glued the end back on, keeping the curve at the wing ends. I guess you'll get less lift so it'll be a bit less "floaty".. There is only one way to find out for sure

Any advice on clipping the wing tips or is the wing I worked so hard putting ailerons on now trashed? Trashed -- No. Different -- Yes. By trimming equal amounts off the left and right tips you will be decreasing the wing area. Carrying nearly the same weight results in a higher wing loading. Higher wing loading will require higher speeds to produce the same lift, so the aircraft will fly 'hotter' than it did before. Higher stall speed, higher approach and landing speeds. Give it a try. If you like it, enjoy it. If you don't, it's trashed. Paul
