What's the covering, is it profilm or similar?
I thought you were Keda powered yet that looks like an E-flite motor.

That's an e flite 450? And an MAS prop? Same set I have, those MAS sure can take a beating, will get really ragged looking before they break (actually I've never broken an MAS) Am flying with a 10 X 6n and wonder what you recomend. Being that the prop is heavier it probably makes the motor work harder and draw more amps so will burn up quicker.

The covering is called Easycoat from phoenixmp.com, its my 1st attempt & was done on a well used SC so it looks a bit rough. Eflite 450 with 9x7 MAS prop, not quite unlimited verticals but loads of fun to fly. My main SC is being fitted with the Keda & ailerons, i like to have a plane ready to 'go' while the other is in 'the shop'.

Ah right, I used profilm and give it an iron every so often to smooth out any wrinkles. My SC is the one that's ready. The Twinstar II and Multiplex Fox (getting RC and power) are residing in't shop.

Yea, they are the Landing Gear from a J-3 Cub by ParkZone. Awesome. at $5.99 I WILL try this. just need to strengthen the battery box area. That was the first modification I did to my Cub

That landing gear does look good. Saw a bunch of spare parts for that plane at the LHS so now it's like they're screaming "Try me, try me..." BTW, how are they holding up?

They hold up very well, quite springy & not too heavy. I have ripped the battery compartment out slightly even after modification but that might of been me as i slammed into my field kit bag instead of the runway. hehe.

Will give the landing gear a try. Using a set of wheels from the PZ Typhoon and prefer them over DuBro so they should be a perfect fit. (but the Dubro do look nice, oversized, diamond pattern...)

Woo, that LG is springy! Am wondering about how to attach it to the fuse. So far I'm thinking of securing the 2 rear most holes of the J-3 LG under the stock battery hatch hinge. Then filling in the overhang (created by the fuse angling upward) with some Gorilla Glue. Cutting a piece of wood to cover the 3 forward holes and screwing that into the fuse (sandwiching the LG to take some of the springiness out) Any ideas?
