I actually think the whole elevator got torn off in flight. Rendering it impossible to pull up. Gentleman at the airfield this weekend had half his elevator break away on his P-51. Had a tough time landing it with a partial elevator nd the rest flapping so if all fell off it would be BAD. Little more to explain he had a crash recently that snapped off more than half the elevator, he glued it and that is the part that fell away... Feel your pain, Wayne

I actually think the whole elevator got torn off in flight. Rendering it impossible to pull up. that seems more likely than a prop failure when considering your explanation of how it came down. Were the hinges pre-glued at factory or your handywork? If it's the former, then perhaps a refund could be in order assuming you can prove the failure to the manufacturers.
