Nope had a Park switch mode unit BEC. Electrics: 3530-14 motor www.headsuprc.com/servlet/the-1428/3530-dsh-14-Outrunner-Brushless-Electric/Detail 2 aileron servos, 2 flaps servos, 1 rudder servo, 1 elevator servo, 40amp Power Up esc , Park plug in BEC www.dimensionengineering.com/ParkBEC.htm , 2250 3s 20c lipo, AR6200 all on my Dx6i. Funny thing is I saw something black fly off the plane like half the prop separated in flight this was while she was moving at a pretty good clip. Next thing I know she was dive bombing at great speed straight into the ground & I can't pull her up. Oh well I'm over it. I will say the 3530-14 is quite the terror!

Total bummer. Must be the day I had my own mishap today although I got lucky and she flew again after some Tarmac engineering.

What prop (exactly) were you running? 1400KV on 3S is a pretty hot number. Might have been prop fatigue and failure. Half a prop at those RPMs would have torn the motor mount apart I suspect.

Yeah I was thinking prop, but unless it had damaged something else I can't see how that'll cause a dive and not being able to pull out unless this happened pretty close to the ground. Were there any bits that were obviously missing (foam jigsaw time), perhaps that would've confirmed (or otherwise) whether it was the prop. I'd test any salvaged electrics prior to putting them into another bird, just for peace of mind.

All electrics will be put back together on the bench as if in the Hellcat and tested. I'll let you guys know if I find anything suspect. Not leaving out the possibility of pilot error, not to proud to admit it may have been me.

Wow, sorry to see that. Looks like a really nice plane, heck remember it from your hangar and it looked awesome. Sounds like yesterday was supposed to be a non flying day, wrecked a plane myself (100% pilot error) Good that you were able to salvage the electronics, hope they all check out.

There's a recall on some DX6i and AR6100 www.spektrumrc.com/Some AR6100 have elevator channel failure. Can't find notice but I have a warranty repair form. Maybe your 6200 has same issue.

I actually think the whole elevator got torn off in flight. Rendering it impossible to pull up.
