Hey Guys! I have been working on all my planes getting them all ready while I have been recovering from ankle surgery. My left ankle is approaching 1/2 completion of physical therapy when I am going to be out of the removable boot and back in a regular shoe...and then I have to schedule my right ankle for the same surgery. Torn ligaments, tendons and cartilage ...years of sports prominent cause.
Anyway seeing how I am going to layed up for a while I decided to purchase Real Flight 4.5, installed it yesterday and man o man all I can say is AWESOME! Been flying the T-28 practing landings. So I will be computer flying for a while, next best thing to being out there! Can't wait to get out there but it's going to be a while.

Hey Alex, Good to hear you're still kickin' - well sort of. Sorry we couldn't hook up while I was in Denver. What do you like about the new RealFlight?

Well not being able to walk very well, and being able to sit on the couch and fly a computer generated T-28 or Hellcat or whatever is for me the best thing about it. The graphics are very good the way the T-28 handles is very realistic. Of all the low wing warbirds on G4.5 the T-28 is the easiest to fly...just as everyone suggests in real life. I like the AT-6 Texan too.

Hi Alex, Good to hear you are on the mend, it sounds like you are in for a long haul before you're running around again I love the Realflight sim, been playing with the G3 demo for a long time, but it's now dropped off the radar as I've finally managed to get my Dx6i hooked up to FMS (on vista which is an added complication) for the princely sum of five English pounds (3.5mm cable). Having great fun with this while it's raining. I found a site with a ton of models including the SC, the mini-SC and a four channel (aileron) SC too, as well as all the other PZ planes, a stack of jets and many more.

I will be OK and Yes left ankle is on the mend!!! It's a 12 week recover/mend for one ankle to be released from the Doc back to all normal activities. May 24th is my full recovery date for the left. Not sure of the date for the right ankle surgery? As you can see this is the long haul or sorts isn't it??? So the Real Flight Sim will be a real joy for me! I also have IL2 Sturmovic 1946 which is a flight sim that puts you in the pilots seat of many WWII fighters and gives you missions to complete, pretty neat!

There is a Super Cub you can download and fly on RF4.5
You can also model airplanes with different motor setups and so on.....

the nice thing about realflight is they have all of those add-ons available so its pretty hard to get bored. im cash strapped and went with FSOne which is still good but im kind of tired of the same 20 planes...i dont even mess with the sails. the float flying on 4.5 looks really sharp. have you tried that yet alex?
