At our field this weekend was a chap who works for a company that do a lot of stuff with HZ. Whilst chatting, he mentioned some factory changes to the SC that are currently in the pipeline. The main points of interest (that I can remember) are :
1) Skis - Plastic ski's to allow landing on grass with the wheels protuding through to allow hard surface landings as normal. These will connect to the stock landing gear legs, with spring wires attached between the front of the ski and the LG leg, so that the angle of the ski in flight can be adjusted. Stated as stopping nose-overs.
2) Replacement of the screws for the struts. I can't remember what he said these would be replaced with, but the plan seems to be that the struts can be disconnected from the battery box without the need for a screwdriver.
